Everyone is struggling. This translates to the gig economy as well. The more people come, the more the wages get depressed. This country just can’t support so many people no matter what people tell you.
Clearly, this year will be worse than the previous one. I lost a lot of money last year due to poor investing decisions that I would not have made if I hadn't been so concerned about my portfolio. I kept investing, but I wasn't sure if I should start saving for a home. In the end, I sold my jobs, and the house required more maintenance than I had anticipated. I don't know how much longer I can go on like this.
A diverse range of exposures, particularly companies that are currently producing cash flows, are essential for your portfolio. I hired a planner in late 2022, and because of my portfolio makeover, I have made well over half a million dollars in profits in ten months across multiple markets. Planning for worst case scenarios should be addressed while things appear to be getting better.
Same scenario i tried for a week but ultimately realised that at the end we are spending from our pocket.atlast stopped doing the same its not making any sense
There is a solution here if you do uber eats in a area where tips are more than the fare of the your order. But I agree that you should consider this as a side hustle not full time job 🤯
I was doing uber eats on bicycle in 2021 summer and 2022 summer, and price to kilometers less than 2.5 was hell no to accept, so if the distance is 1km it has to be 2.5$ minimum to accept the order, it got little down in 2023. I am from Montréal.
Yes, it’s getting worse. I literally did two orders for just 3.5$ on last Sunday. Like there is not a minimum 3$ pay per order. I did just because I was not getting orders and it was better to earn something rather than sitting in a ac running car in heatwave. Suppose if you start getting such orders in DoorDash where acceptance rate is everything. I know DoorDash mostly don’t give long orders like Uber Eats. But if we start getting in low distance orders. Then nothing to say.
This is an excellent pod cast thankyou for this I want to add that Lyft is not behind Uber. On Friday night at 11 pm when it us time for real work received the call for Pearson airport from Hamilton stoney creek while I was on already dropping a rider so I could not see the amount. I picked up the ride, drove him to Pearson total distance including pickup was 85 km reached airport in 61 minutes I received 34 dollars including 13% sales tax. Since I am not allowed to pick rides from airport. As I travelled back to Hamilton with no rides along the route arrived Hamilton at 0135 ie 02:35 min with total milage of 156km. Those driving knows how much I made in 02:35 min at prime time driving 156 km I made 6 dollars. Please don't accept Lyft long rides
I used to do uber then it start sucking blood and I realized that i had been paying for making deliveries so i stopped 6 months ago. Its now half than minimum wage for drivers. I feel bad who just start doing uber.
Now Doordash has paused taking new Drivers. All new accounts are in waiting list. But Uber will not do that because they know students do not have jobs so they're gonna Deliver the order in low prices also. That's their cheap way to earn profit from jobless Students.
Move to Australia , you will make way more than what you making in Canada, Easy PR was the biggest advantage of Canada , but now both countries are same in terms of PR.
What you guys are going to add in Canadian economy growth and prosperity by driving UBER and working at has station? Instead of leaning some skills students are working in security and these survival jobs. I hope the government shouldn't give PR for labour class because Canada has already physical labour class too many and adding more will make the ones already here poor.
Even there is a confusion in online time and active time when it comes to part time job specially when there is restrictions on how much a student has to work.
Kisi jamaane mein sirf Uber Eats not Ride..just Eats 8 hours chalaane se 200$ bante the...woh thaa koi jamana😂😂once upon time in Canada wages were higher, things were cheaper. Today's Canada things are expensive wages are lower and racism all time High. Zero respect for hard workers.
Like people doing multiple jobs to survive you gotta use multiple apps to make decent money. Can’t rely on uber only. My brother in law’s friend using all delivery apps and making 300$.
Please connect with your local MP and highlight this issue. Meet in person as well as draft a letter with all your receipts to substantiate your claims.
Man Uber sucks big time now, the customers are also affected at the other end, Uber eats prices are generally hiked up, and you can easily do a comparison on outlet's own website, and the aggressive emailing and notifications from uber, it's annoying as hell,
I'm the first ♥️🥇🏆🥇❤ Lots of love and respect from 🇵🇰 pakistan Murree city brother from another mother ♥️😊 stay healthy and keep blessed 🙏 Harry gill bahie paaji ❤
What seems like exploitation on the surface is a much more complex issue: 1. There is the law of supply in play here. It does not take a lot to become an Uber driver, nor is it a high skill job. If the number of people ready to do this job goes up, the incomes per head will go down. 2. You want UBER to stop enlisting new drivers to safeguard the existing drivers’ wages. That is exactly the situation native Canadians find themselves in with respect to this uncontrolled immigration. You realise it only now when the shoe is on the other foot. 3. UBER is a business and will do whatever suits their bottom line. Minimum wages do not apply to the gig economy in general. 4. I understand that you want to raise awareness about this issue. However, this trend will NOT reverse until hoards of drivers don’t leave UBER.
@@loverebel6632 there is no such ´rule’. There’s a law of demand and a law of supply. Go and look it up, and clean up your language while you’re at it.
Bro halifax me bhi itni log ontario and bc se move hogye unko job mil nhi rhi sab uber vgera hi chla rhe h choti si city h last year 2023 october tak acha kam hota tha uske bad boht slow hogya h kam aise order idher bhi ate h uber valo k algorithm ko pta h drivers ki supply zyada ho to order ki value kam dete h intentionally to koi na koi jo bichara majboori me kar rha h vo utha leta h it is very difficult even to survive without a job
bhai jinke work permit expire ho rhe h plz wapis jao yar itna burden nahi le skta canada aur bhi aur student mat ao idhar you will regret vaise hi PR nhi ho rhi logo ki upar se kam nhi h aur employers use karte h apne mtlb k liye
If it’s so bad in Canada, why don’t you return to your home country?? Uber is not working out bcoz so many people from pinds of Punjab have landed in Canada. Canadians are showing them the mirror now..
Sir minimum wage di tuhi log gal hi naa kro, fer taa 20 hours per week allowed aa, tuhi log oh 1 din chh hi poore kr lainde hii, horr kinni corruption chlai apne bande onna de system chh vaad k, tuhi saare log hun innocent ban rye oo, aajo hun saare tuhi log galat hoo naa ki sarkar bcz... o taa videshi sarkar aa not indian sarkar
Harry bhai Uber is not a job only a lowend side hustle. People watching this video please don't do Uber unless you need to. Don't see these videos and buy car thinking y9u can make up money and cover up your costs and make money. You will end up spending more. Also you tubers like you need to focus onprofessional jobs and career options rather than these side hustle gigs. You did not come to Canada to do this stuff - if you are student focus on studies and other part time jobs. If you are a PR improve your skills and professional caliber rather than chasing gigs.
