The Crown in Canada is the equivalent to saying the Queen. In formal judgments in criminal law "R. v. Doe" (Doe being an example of a person), the "R" represents Regina which means "The Queen" - Which has not really anything to do with the Queen of England formally... It's more a representation of the government. I don't BELIEVE (not sure) the Queen of England can formally pardon any person in Canada without authorization from the Canadian Government as Canada is sovereign. Yes, most Canadian source law is derived from old English common law but the law evolves from within Canada. There is NO appeal from a decision of the Supreme Court but in some rare circumstances (where the law has changed from the start of an appeal, for example) the Supreme Court of Canada MAY re-examine a leave application if it has been denied.

There is also Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada (a trust run by the federal government) and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of a (Province) which are all separate trust companies run by the government of each province. The things registered in these trust companies is what each Crown has authority over. Around 1924 they fragmented the British Crown all over the world into these trust companies run by the governments. This is part of the confusion that is going on. The governments also registered as corporations around 1934 creating a municipal jurisdiction for international trade. This is the public policy being used today. Everyone who registered their business became part of this foreign takeover and subject to its jurisdiction. An example is Ontario. The Constitutional Ontario has its coat of arms and is a subdivision of the Dominion of Canada. The Corporate Ontario uses its Trillium logo and this is the municipal jurisdiction of the District of Columbia.
