Canadian Forces - Aerospace Engineering Officer 

I am currently a third year mechanical engineering student (Co-op) at the UofA and this position interests me a lot. Aircraft and spacecraft have interested me my entire life, and I have experience with model aircraft both in design and building. One of my goals is to pursue a masters degree in aerospace engineering. What kind of requirements are needed to be accepted into this position, such as grades and experience.

I'm an Engineering Technologist at a civilian MRO company that mainly deals with helicopters and their engines. Would you say that serving a few years as an AERE Officer is a good way to advance my career? If I'm ever going, it would be in an year or two, serving for however long I feel, and then go back to civilian MRO. I'm getting my BEng in Mechnical Engineering in a few months.
