Fun seeing what you got. That tin of biscuits was a great deal! I may look at my Shoppers for that Laughing Cow cheese deal-usually it's too expensive for me. That cheeseburger casserole sounds good! I meal plan for the entire week-if I didn't I would be stuck. I am not a 'natural cook'. I can't just open the cupboards and whip something up-I need a recipe!! I also set alarms on my phone to pull out the frozen meat I'll need the night before so it is thawed the following day. Jacob's toque was very cool-lucky kid. Also like his modelling clay and their creations.

Hey Lily. The tin of biscuits was delicious (and gone already) Hahaha. I've found the laughing cows a few times at shoppers for 2.99, I only ever buy them when they're on sale! I took out my chicken this morning for tomorrows meal. Trying to stay on track. Have a great week. 😊

Great haul 😊 👍 The meal plan sounds tasty. I plan on making a hamburger soup and casserole, fish and homade chips, along with lasagna this week. Always a big hit. I made a whole bunch of tiny banana, carrot, and chocolate chip muffin bites Saturday for lunches and snacks. I did some groceries yesterday and I took a double take at how little 300$ gets us. It's sad. Our snow is melting quite a bit. Double digits today, more like May weather. Wishing you and your family a great week. 😊

That sounds like a delicious meal plan! I've been wanting to make some little egg bites for breakfast, mini muffins sound good too! I may try that. It's sad how little we get for our money, prices are still going up here. I was so surprised quickly all that snow melted. We have more on the way towards the end of the week! Enjoy the the warmth!! 🙂

Hey Katie, they honey garlic chicken is a crockpot meal, so very easy. I love scoring a good deal. It was Jacob who actually noticed the croissants 50% off, I couldn't leave them. Lol I hope you're having a great day! 😊

Hi Lindsay, great grocery haul! Your meal plan sounds good. I am the opposite of you and tend to cook more elaborate meals on the weekends. I am always surprised how expensive bananas are in Nova Scotia. Here they are 59 cents a pound. Your snow did melt away quite a bit. We I think have had three storms all winter in Ontario and it looks like not much snow for the rest of March. It has been a crazy winter! Have a good Thursday.❤

Hi Robin, it seems like we got all our snow at one time! I was surprised how quickly it melted. They were calling for more tonight/tomorrow but I think it's changed to rain/ice pellets now. It's pajama day at school tomorrow, so the kids are really hoping it won't be cancelled. The price of fruit is crazy here, and it's funny how bananas never go on sale, they used to be 89¢/pound and now they're 99. I gope you're having a great week! 😊

I have a hard time with meal planning as well. My boyfriend works afternoons and I like to make sure he has a good meal before he leaves but I don’t want to eat at 2, it makes for a long afternoon/evening. I try for meals that last a couple of days and definitely reheat well.

Hey Lesley, that makes it trickier that your boyfriend works afternoons, I'm sure he appreciates the meal. I made a meal plan for this week, and so far I'm sticking to it. I like that I can prepare ahead of time if I know what we're having. But alot of days I'm just deciding that morning what I'll make, so I want be more organized! I hope you're having a great week so far. 😊

I’m jealous of your cucumber prices and strawberry prices! I’ve noticed, at least in the Seattle area, the strawberries are terrible this year! $5-7 a lb and they go bad within a day or two.

I bought a lot of the same items this week. Do you guys have a Giant Tiger in CB? I find a lot of good deals there. I find I'm going to Sobeys Superstore Walmart Giant Tiger and our local meat store and finding the best deals at each store, but realize not everyone has the time to do so. I think you do very well to spend $200 week on a family of six.

Hi Kerry, we do have a Giant Tiger, but it's about 30 minutes away, so I never go. We have No Frills too, and I keep saying I should go, but I seem to stick to finding the best deals close to home. I never used to like going to all the different stores for deals, but I feel like we have to now! We are getting more snow later in the week, not sure if you guys are getting it or not.
