The beautiful sceneries are vividly remembered! I round drove 10+ times between Calgary and Vancouver, sometimes including Jasper N.P. if choose north-line or Coeur d'Alene Lake and Seattle if go the south line through the US. The Mistaya Canyon and Athabasca Falls are the most beautiful sceneries beside the Icefield Pkwy in my memory! The gorgeous early morning in spring, the lazy afternoon in summer, the colorful leaves and lights in late autumn, and of course, from the midnight through the morning-sun after snowing, the Rockies is left many of my footprints. I love such mountains and rivers!
hi, i'm from Brazil, how is going? me and my wife did the same travel, exactly the same, i had to share this here because we were so nostalgic here! thanks dude, thanks for sharing this video, you did a couple very happy!
Back in 2001, my wife and I drove to Whistler, from San Antonio, Tx. Second trip there. First was a year earlier, that time we flew to Seattle then drove from there to Whistler. My point is that on that second trip, I was so tempted to make the drive back thru Calgary. Wanted to visit Banf and Lake Louise. But I chickened out, to my deep regret now. I was not familiar with the roads and did not want to take on the mountain roads without any knowledge of the conditions. Well, next time, next life.
25 years my beautiful people I have seen it, thanks AOH it reminded me of the good old times!! Light a joint at half way hot springs with Bob, aka your host and make it big on your way through, Cheers fam.Ps just another Koots fella
I’m doing this this summer, was wondering where you guys stayed overnight? Did you just go in crow land or would you get a camping spot every time? I plan on taking a month off to do this and it looks like you guys had a lot of fun!
Ah, this video makes me so happy. I live in Edmonton, but my grandfather was a coal miner in grande cache, which is practically in the heart of the Rockies, so I find myself up there pretty often. It’s my absolute DREAM to do a road trip from Edmonton to Vancouver too! So, thank you for uploading this aha ^v^
Beautiful images! Could you say in which month these images were filmed? Because I'm planning a trip at the beginning of May, and I'm worried about not seeing such green landscapes at that time. Thanks!
We spent a few months in the area but we've heard of people doing it a week or two. Depends on how much time you have. Just prioritise what you want to see and make it suit your schedule. Enjoy!
Hello there i was planning this by hiring a car in calgary airport and driving before 6am.. i thought no one would this and i found out its the best drive in all of canada..first time travelling so i was only looking at calgary airport to banff nat park, lake louise and lake moraine.. i didnt know theres heaps more
Has anyone ever done this alone? I want to rent a car and plan a road trip after I graduate this semester but i never left my home province before and im kinda scared to travel but dont really have anyone to go with
Wowww...the music blended perfectly. I plan on making a trip this summer for 2-3 weeks and I am so overwhelmed that I donno where to start. I plan on starting the trip with my buddy who stays in Regina. I am curious if I need to obtain passes to visit the parks and the parking as well. Also, is it okay to pull over and take shots of those mountains because of how scenic those roads are? How to plan night stays that stretch throughout the trip. Any budget recommendations along the trip?
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video :) You can purchase passes at the gates to the National Parks. In the particularly scenic places along the highway, there are places to pull over for photos. (Beware: you will want to take photos - all. time. time! 😍) Your itinerary is up to you, depending on what interests you and how fast paced you want the trip to be (daily driving times). We didn't include the Okanagan Valley in this video, which is also beautiful. We camped in campgrounds or stayed in our van (in legal, free campsites) with the exception of an AirBnB in Whistler (although we also camped in Whistler). If you're into camping, I can share the campgrounds with you, otherwise, just check out booking.com etc to find a place that suits your budget. Cheers!
@@AdventuresOutHere thanks so much for such a detailed response. I wom't be camping at all though it is something I want to try in the future. I will be using www.booking.com and maybe airbnbs if I find any cheap options. I can feel it already that I will be wanting to take photos non stop hehe. I plan on stretching the trip across 2-3 weeks. I have so many questions haha..it's just that I want to be fully prepared when I am there because I want to make every second count. I know there are so many places to visit there and I don't want to miss any so do you know of any website that mentions all the places to visit along the journey? All help will be greatly appreciated and am so sorry for troubling you
No worries. I would just google each place and see what sites come up. I recently closed our website, unfortunately, and I don't know of any websites that would include every stop in this video. It's just about sitting down and taking some time to plan, but planning can be fun!
All depends on how much time off you have/budget/how much you want to see/how fast you want to move between places. Can vary massively. I'd say the absolute minimum would be a week, two would be better, 3+ would be amazing!!
So beautifully done! My husband and I are right now deciding what parts of Canada we can cover in a week’s trip. We would like to fly into Calgary and out of Vancouver but don’t know if that’s too much ground to cover in a week. ? This is one rental car road trip I think would be totally worth it based off what I’ve seen and heard..

I'm going be drving to British Columbia from Ontario in a few weeks. I heard that gas stations are few and far between especially in Manitoba. Any concerns/suggestions? Thank you.
