Lovely film, my wife and I camped all over Banff and jasper, think I swam in most of those lakes you filmed , it was much warmer in July and August - lakes were still nippy

Been up there many times. My advice - stay in Field BC instead of Banff or Lake Louise. You can get a full kitchen unit with all the comforts of home for less than what you pay there. The only disadvantage is sometimes the road out of town gets blocked by the train and you have to wait. Sometimes.

That's actually where we stayed for 6 days when this was shot. Great place except for the 1km+ trains as mentioned. We did get one of them!!

Been to 3 of these (Jasper excluded due to time restraints), in 1974, on a road trip from Dallas to Vancouver/Seattle. Magnificent is an understatement! There are two other parks in the general area; Mt. Revelstoke and Glacier (the Canadian, not US park). There are also provincial parks that are as impressive! My one regret is missing Jasper (oh, well). Thanks for this video!!

Also, the other Canadian park we skipped in '74 was Waterton Lakes, but I went in 2005 with my older daughter for 3 days, after Glacier (US version) for 5. Fantastic: she really loved both parks!

In this video, I was only using a Sony FDR-AX53 4K camera handheld, and in other later videos (2018 onwards) I have been using a Sony A7 MK3 4K mainly most of the time, as well as a Go Pro Hero 7 and the Sony FDR AX53. I use DaVinci Resolve 16 Studio as my editing software that I highly recommend. Thank you for watching!!

Thank you very much for your answer!!! I am a beginner on this issue. I have GoPro Hero 7, but finally, I have a PC, which can play and render 4K videos. Do you use mostly gimbal? From GoPro or other marks?

@@vaseksoukup2537 I do use a gimbal for my Sony A7 MKIII (Zhiyun Crane V2) most of the time. The Sony FDR-AX53 has pretty good internal stabilization and so has the GoPro Hero 7, so I usually do not use the gimbal for them unless necessary.

I love Banff and Jasper but it's really lost a lot of it's allure due to the huge crowds. It's like now that's it's on social media and all the global tours are going there it's just too crowded.

Such a shame, I would love the scenery ,but not dodging the many tourist .
