I'm from Toronto, and in 3 days I leave for Lake Louise until I come home in May. I have never seen mountains before and after watching this video, I can honestly say I have never been more excited to see anything like I am to see mountains. Great video my dude, keep it up!
Thank you for showing our country so wonderfully. My favourite time out west was in Jasper so this was extra sweet. Next time you come to Canada, you should back pack the east coast (where my roots lay.)
As always, top notch quality. Your travel documentaries are easily some of the best out there. I have probably watched your 9 month backpacking trip like 5 times already. Heading off on my own 2 month backpacking adventure through southeast Asia soon, partly because I watched your video. Keep up the good work man. Maybe I will see you on the road someday.
Lucky weather for Mount Robson! Passed through 3 times this summer on the way to Jasper (and one time Banff) but it was always cloudy at the peak. Leaving again tomorrow to camp in Jasper for the weekend and hopefully we get the view you did! Thanks for covering a trip to BC!
man you are lucky to be able to do this. I think the most remarkable thing of this kind of traveling is making true friends and the great moments with them
I actually love you. I'm only 15 but in 2012 I went on a student exchange to Alberta for 2 weeks and now I just want to travel so bad so travel vlogs and your videos kinda give me my fix for the next few years before I can start traveling myself. Love your videos and they really opened my eyes into what a world we live in. Can't wait for more videos
I live in Alberta really close to Calgary and I love this province....between Alberta and British Columbia there’s no place in the world I’d rather be! It’s great to see you did so many cool things to get a real feel for the place and us Canadians!! I’ve got the best back yard in the whole world....welcome!
🇨🇦 is ONE of my favorite countries in the 🌏! Heaps of beauty everywhere!!❤❤❤ skiing at Whistler, it was the 💣digity. Oh the memories that Canada holds close to me ❤. Fabulous video Karl, thanks again. Until next time✌
Yet another great vid Karl. Ive spent the last week watching the HK2NY series and now The Rockies........cant wait for the next installment. An unbelievable inspiration!
Was going to say. I just started making my itinerary for a solo road trip to the usa for late spring 2022. Got the motivation from watching your videos! Thought I needed people to tag along but after seeing you travel solo and you finding people/friends on the way while creating exhilarating experiences got Me hyped.
yeah Karl I enjoyed your video it reminds me of my trip to Canada 2012 it really is a fantastic place took the train from Vancouver to Jasper spent a week in the Rockies came back spent the remainder of my time in and around Vancouver. I did the hostel thing met English Germany French Americans etc loved it would love to go back thanks for the video mate cheers from an aussie
Amazing cinematography @Karlwatson. Am encouraged to do more traveling due to binge watching your travel documentaries. Thank you 🙏 Great 👍 Job!!! This is late but who cares! I’m just starting😂🤣
Besides being very talented movie maker you have a great personality. I've been to BC many times but you seem to have had a better time there than I. I had good times there too but seem to enjoy it more.
Hey Karl, another great travel video! My wife and I really enjoyed it, and we are thrilled that you have another trip to upload with James! Keep up the great work! Jono and Jen
It wasn't a video but a journey and I was lost throught out the journey. I'm feeling as if I've been to the place just now. Right from showing the route to mentioning all the places and people's names, it was amazing. Kinda felt sad after Simon left. Just wish you could have covered a bit more of Banff. I love Banff Avenue. It was my first video here, going to check some more, live more.
+Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries Ended up checking skyscanner and Sri Lanka in January it will be ;) When does the Video from the next trip with James will be online?
Stumbled upon your channel looking for NZ adventures a couple of days ago and the contents of your videos are pretty good. Cannot wait to hopefully visit Aus/NZ pretty soon! Now, I'm hooked watching all your travel documentaries! Keep up the great work!
+Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries I know, I would have been mad at myself too. Still, it was an incredible video. Makes me want to go back to the Rockies asap.
Hi Karl, this was a fantastic video of the Canadian Rockies trip. I had no idea that your brother lived in Canada now with wife and child. This will give you a reason to return many times in the future to visit with them and your little niece. Legs looked great on this trip, and you've kept it up on all the future videos I have already watched. Legs 🦵 up 🤓 Just one of your many weirdo fans Karl. Thanks again for this tour!
+Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries put my money where my mouth is and just booked 10 days in Canada. Definitely going to try the zip lines in Whistler.
Don't worry much about Moraine Lake. I have heard in the spring (which is when you went) it is considerably different compared to summer months. I've heard around July it fills up and is at normal water levels where as in spring it has lower water levels.
Nice! We did almost the same route as you did, 2 weeks in the Coast Range and Canadian Rockies, with the exception of Vancouver Island. We went backpacking on the Berg Lake Trail in Mount Robson Provincial Park and it was just epic. The scenery in the area is just unbelievable. I love Canada so much.
Amazing stuff, Karl. Other than a couple bad weather days, you had yourself the perfect adventure. I'm from Canada and moved to Finland in 2004. My girlfriend and I made a similar trip this summer. BC and Alberta are always so breathtaking.
ya this is great! very nostalgic. my mom studied at uvic and lived at thetis lake. i swam that lake and clif jumped when i was just a lad. i lived in van a year ago just a block up from the pub you were drinking at. had i been around i woulda been able to show you some crazt stuff, and definitely shown van in a different light. i drove a taxi in van for a year and i know the underbelly of van like no other. ive been waiting for another upload from you for some time now, and this is well worth the wait!
+Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries ya always a pleasure. if you only knew how much these vids inspired me to see the world. is the best way to follow what you're up to through fb? had I known you were in van I woulda given my apartment to up to ya. it had been empty for over a year and I had a killer foosball table! woulda been so funny to see it on one of your vids!
So, we've sat here all weekend watching your Chanel non-stop! Awesome just bloody fantastic. Can't wait for the big climb in Nepal. Might see you in Oz or NZ 👍
cool stuff man , I need to visit more of my own country! I enjoy watching your videos but I can't help but notice you drink every evening lol.Not judging just observing, keep up the great travel vids!
Just watched this with my partner and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Heading over this way in September. Superbly put together video - look forward to checking out your channel. 😎👍
I've only just come across your channel a few days ago and I am blown away! How you don't have more subscribers is beyond me. I'm currently in the middle of the HK2NY series but HAD to watch this because I lived in Whistler for 3 years and although I spent most of my time only in BC, this video definitely makes me feel all nostalgic and missing "home". I'm back on the road/in the air again next year hopefully we can cross paths and share stories :)
If any of you followers are interested in going off the beaten path in the Rockies send them my way. I specialize in multi-day hikes deep in the wilderness. I help a lot of travellers plan their trips.
Glad you enjoyed Canada my friend! Would have loved to meet up with you if I would have known your channel at the time I'm 2 hours south from Calgary You're my favourite channel on youtube, amazing content and production, so inspiring to get out and travel myself Keep doing what you do my friend :)
I'm doing a road trip from Ontario (where I live) all the way to BC, stopping at various places on the way, and this just got me even more excited! The whole trip will be around 2 months.
+Nick Longo Hey man you'll have a blast i guarantee it, I'm from Montreal, i've done this trip last summer. From Montreal to all the way Tofino, worked there 5 months was a blast ( by car also). Then went to the States, California, then all the way back to east coast. You'll have love it brother Cheers
Great video, we're heading there on a backpacking trip in 2 months (Banff/Jasper/Yoho). Which month was this trip? I only caught the part where you said it was spring.
