and he's become a millionaire off of his youtube videos whereas the people in his videos are still struggling to have their ends meet. modern filipino exploitation. remember when white people became rich because of filipinos?
For 10 years of his stay in the Philippines, I am learning more of the Philippines than that of all my Filipino, Social Studies, Geography etc teachers in the past. Though I read a lot about my own country on books, reality is reality with Kulas’ Raw vlog! He deserve more than Becoming a Filipino Citizen. The Government should put him on a payroll for putting The Philippines BRIGHTLY on the map! Such a good tourism pull👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I never felt the need to go abroad and change my citizenship or even work there. Kahit mahirap ang buhay dito I love my country and so proud to be a Filipino. Thank you Kulas for sharing.
You go to be crazy, insane to wanting a Filipino citizenship, I am an American never will I apply to become a Filipino citizen, its a 3rd world poverty country, seems he had no future in Canada so when he gets older I'd bet he'll get zero retirement money, he'll be E-begging on RU-vid, he's making a terrible decision, what a fool.
We are on the same page. Mga Chinese dito pa nga nagpayaman tapos tayo na mismo taga rito di natin magawang umasenso. Empleyado pa rin kulang ang 25k na sahod 😂
@@Λεωνάιντας You can definitely see the comment that way brother... Someone I know who migrated out says the "Philippines is a backwards country". (I believe many Philippine born think this way) Then, I asked him if he could see that as an "opportunity" and he said "maybe". I do see going back to the Philippines as an opportunity! An opportunity to make a difference! An opportunity to build a legacy! An opportunity to maximize potential! An opportunity to be more impactful! Many Filipinos forsake the Philippines and never go back. They leave for their family, for opportunity and to slave in a system where as long as they are productive they can be kept connected. A group of us is going back to be like Kulas where we make connections to people and places in a more meaningful way. With a little bit of financial resources, we will make due. Do you see the Philippines as an opportunity???
@@vondoromal7016 I'm genuinely asking this question sir but have you taken into account the cons of living here for the rest of your life? I'm Filipino and I can't fathom why foreigners love this country despite hearing what they felt about this country.
Kyle Jennermann has not simply been a blessing to Filipinos... he inspires and motivates other foreigners. I first arrived in the Philippines in 2007 and discovered the richness of the Filipino Spirit and Culture that I had never experienced in my own country or in any of the nearly 30 countries I had previously visited in my lifetime! I am finally returning to the Philippines and I too have no plans to leave. Citizenship is not required to love the Philippines or to be deeply involved with the people and culture. Kulas has been given a gift that was due to his inspirational efforts which obviously was felt by the hearts of Congressional and Senate Members of the Republic of the Philippines who were inspired to offer him a chance to be acknowledged for his unofficial ambassadorial efforts. Let's hope that President Marcos will see the same inspiration and value that "Kulas" brings to the Philippines and signs the Bill into law to reward Kyle Jennermann the honor befitting the personal aspirations of such a bright, positive human being... of "BecomingFilipino"
@PhillyWilly in the Philippines you do realize he has over 200K Filipino subscribers. He seems like a great kid, amazing how other Expats want to hate on him over the dumbest crap
Deserved Niya Po yan❤❤❤ since day 1 that he chooses to come here you can see and feel his drive to become a Filipino citizen.. he embraces the Philippine culture as if he was born here .... Congratulations kulas .. I've been following his journey for a long time that's why I am so happy for him..
Been a follower for 4 years and I'm proud of it. Kulas is the most genuine foreign vlogger I've known. I could feel his intention from the very first time I watched him on RU-vid. I even did binge watch his vlogs during the pandemic era. Congratulations, Kyle!
Oo nga noh karamihan ng pilipino gustong maging u.s. or Canadian citizen pero c Kyle mas pinili maging filipino citizen, Nakaka proud din bilang isang pilipino.
As a 1/4 only Filipino I am very fascinated and proud of the Philippines. My wife is from Mindanao so definitely have ties to the PH. Watching Kulas' videos keeps me immersed. This guy is a Legend in the making. I salute you Kulas! You make is foreigners with good intentions in mind look good. Salamat sa lahat ng ginagawa mo! Or should I say...Daghan Salamat! ;)
Wow, you're an inspiration to all not only sa Filipino but for everyone. I wish you well and praying you'll get your Filipino citizenship. I am so proud of you for telling the world how great the people in the Philippines and how beautiful our country is. God bless you and mabuhay!
Tbe most admirable thing has done was his closeness to minority Filipinos and assistance to those who are in need. He doesnt trick anyone more ao baiting them to stay in the country to suffer poverty. I was abroad for 3 decades and i realized theres no pkace like Philippines
I have been following Kulas since 2017 and as a Filipino, he made me realize there's beauty in our own country. Huwag maging dayuhan sa sariling bayan. Your story is so inspiring, Kulas. I hope and pray that Mr. President will sign your papers and finally become a Filipino citizen. ❤
I have been following him from the start. I said on RU-vid and Facebook Kulas truly has the heart of a Filpino and could have been one in a previous life. He cares about Filipinos; the culture; its beauty; promoting the Philippines; smiles abundantly and radiates positive energy.!!! I'm so proud and happy for him and hope he gets picked up with GMA, Philippines of Department of Tourism, Lifetime travel representative (space available flights) for PAL or Cebu when doing an event for Philippines agencies.
He has a great soul. We're lucky to have him as he is lucky to have "us". He made a lot of people fall in, fall back in love with the Philippines. There isn't anyone more deserving of this bill passing than him.
We are happy that despite of many countries that you could choose from, you still chose Philippines as your second home and with that we Filipinoes heartily embraced/loved and deeply care for you sir kyle,we believed that you're a GOD fearing as it reflects to your personality..And becoming naturalized as citizen of one particular country is a similar to a treasure hunting where you need to go extra miles/dig deep in order to get the gold etc,you deserved all the best and mabuhay ka sir kulas ,stay safe always and GOD Bless.
Thank you so much Kulas! I've learned a lot from you. You are such an inspiration. Thank you so much for spreading good vibes and for loving our country the Philippines, the people, the culture, etc. Yes, you are a blessing to us and God bless you more! Mabuhay ka Kulas!
KULAS!!! you inspired not only me but all the FILIPINOS for the BEST DECISION in your life. I am from Zamboanga City in Mindanao, let me tell you this: MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS! DAGHAN SALAMAT! for bringing Philippines in your vlogs to the world. New fan here who will now follow you in your vlogs.
Yes it is quite an honor. Unfortunately, he will have to renounce his Canadian citizenship. The Philippines does not allow foreigners to have dual citizenship.
@@LtDave Actually, you can have a dual citizenship here in the Philippines. You can be a citizen without giving up your Canadian citizenship through naturalization. It's in our laws.
Kulas deserves to be a Filipino citizen, with what he is doing and how he lives life in our country, he shows he is a real Filipino. Congrats Kulas and God bless!!;
Kaai, marami syang nakitang lugar sa aten that made him proud and fell in love with the country. Sadly, many of us are looking for beauty and life in other countries where we are not really accepted the same way we treat Kulas. Let's immerse ourselves again in our own culture, gayahin natin si kulas! 😊
Kulas , watching your RU-vid channel from Australia. I’m proud of you for selecting the Philippines to be your native land . I’m also a Filipina . Hope you will continue to like Filipino customs . All I can say be patience and happy go lucky . But please also be careful because you might encounter bad ones . God bless you Kulas 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🤗
Culas is stupid becoming a Filipino citizen will not get you anything just misery, look at the millions of Filipinos who flee their country and never return, its a 3rd world country and you want to become a citizen there? in the USA we have 300,000 thousands illegal Filipinos, they do not want to go back to their country, he's doing this stunt for publicity, as a native born American never will I become a dual citizen especially a 3rd world poverty country. He's on drugs.
I’ve been here 11 years also. I found a home In Iloilo. Been to 13 countries, lived In Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. But the best peace is Iloilo. The people are malambing.
The best ka kulas, what i love him most, is the way he promotes local products ❤️ you are almost there to become officially filipino, tho you are already ❤️ 💙
While some Filipinos are dreaming of Canadian citizenship, here Kulas, a Canadian, close to being granted Filipino citizenship! Lord, Almighty Bless and grant Kulas his wish, a FILIPINO CITIZENSHIP!
I was an OFW for 10 years and one of the reasons why I came home for good, it’s because of Kulas. Watching his vlogs made me miss home and love the Philippines even more.
Among all the foreign vloggers staying in the Philippines, i feel like him and finn snow deserves citizenship the most. There are some more for sure but i feel like these two really worked hard to show what Philippines can offer to the world.
His feature of Sulu was awesome, while most of us have created a negative impression about the province, he did the opposite. Considering of visiting Sulu soon and experience it's breathtaking and God-given beauty.
I love you everytime we talk about your Pilipino citizenship my tears falling down considering that ALOT of Filipinos went abroad changed thier heart we knew that you are a Canadian by blood but we definitely we believe you are a truly Filipino by heart we love Kulas we are so proud of you Mabuhay ka Kulas take care always. ❤❤❤❤😅
@@modernstory2023bobo mo, yung mindset mo is same to some na itinakwil ang pagiging filipino dahil sa pera, he is already earning A LOT kahit d pa sya mag ph citizenship.
thankyou culas for bringing canadian tourist in our country..and other nationalities whom you introduce our culture to them, and now you choose filipino citizen dong..we may say a big thankyou..welcome to mindanao....your chosen hometown...mabuhay ka.
I really admire Kulas ang batang kusgan. He is down to earth and has adopted easily to the Filipino culture. Welcome and congratulations to Kulas! God bless you Kulas.
He learned Bisaya first because it is the language spoken in Davao. Incidentally, he refers to the guys in Cateel who are men as “boys”. He probably should enroll in online language course, if he has not done so already. I found learning Pilipino really intimidating especially with the use of emlaut in the words. Easier to learn Bisaya especially if one is familiar with Spanish.
He really loves Mindanao! How come it took a Congresswoman from Laguna to sponsor him? No one is Mindanao initiated the bill for him to become a citizen?
@@mannypacu6460 because the guy is earning money on youtube by baiting ignorant filipino's for views. Doesn't even know how to speak fluently both bisaya or tagalog even though the guy lived half of his life here in the country. Typical filipino baiter mofo.
Mas maganda talaga isupport to si kulas kasi alam mong genuine yung love nya sa Philippines Di tulad ng mga ibang foreign vlogger na ginagamit lang yung content about Philippines for them to gain more followers and fame
I've been to Mindanao four times from Canada, I live near Pagadian city with filipina wife and family, That's exciting Kulas! Hope to see you sometime bro, hahaha
Go go Kulas i admired you coz you love Philippines . Lahi ka sa ubang pinoy na naka abroad lang gisuka na ang Pilipinas kay daghan dili maayo , pero Ikaw gitaas mo ang Pilipinas . God bless you more
Hindi ko inakalang maiinspire ako ng isang banyaga to remember my roots. In a time na mahirap maging proud to be a Filipino, indeed, mabuhay ka, Kulas!
Maraming mga foreign vloger na pumupunta sa pinas kasi tayo mga pinoy is always supportive . may ibang foreign vloger pumunta dito for views and subscriber . pero si kulas tumira na talaga dito kasi gsto nya maging pinoy at may puso siyang pinoy na . may ibang foreign vloger nmn na dito na rin tumira gaya nong russian family dito na din sila tumira kasi gsto na nila dito tumira kasi less stress daw at feel at home daw sila at may iba nmn pumunta lng dito for subscriber and as i say for views . pero kahit na ganyan we still supported kaya nga ibang iba tayo sa ibang bansa kasi mabuti tayo ..
😂😂 That does not mean he should be granted a Filipino citizenship, are you serious my guy? You're such a casual and it shows. He is white and will forever be white, just like we are Filipinos by blood and will forever be Filipino til we die and here comes the casual Filipinos supporting such silly act/behavior/entitlement by a white man. People should really look back into history of how these white people love claiming lands that's not theirs. If this goes through, the Philippines should feel ashamed of themselves, period. Filipinos who support this bs should feel really ashamed of themselves. Us Filipinos are very welcoming type of people but not to this extent. If grant this filipino citizenship, grant all foreigners as well. But that won't happen as it is not supposed to be like that ever, as it can ruin the immigration process system for all foreigners! Kulas is def not an exception, he is simply a foreigner, face it. As I said kulas just practicing his entitlement here and casuals are letting it happen even encouraging it. Have some self dignity!
Kulas, I really appreciate your being you. I agree of what you are emphasizing. Spread your BELIEFS, WISDOM AND IDEAS as speaker TO THE FILPINO PEOPLE. God will bless you more!
Kulas is really a very good public speaker. Very natural. He can easily expresses his thoughts in words the best way possible with sincerity. Good luck, Kulas!
Seeing other people from another country that want to be a Filipino is very inspiring, and this is how I become proud to be a Filipino. These moments are the best moments.

You're inspiration to us filipinos Kulas...you made filipinos proud.Just keep goin' positively because at the end of the day many filipinos inspired with your lifestory.
ang kagandahan kasi being a filipino is we can live simply as the way we.are, kahit gulay, mapasarap ang kain at talaga nmn enjoyable ang culture natin..we can live debt free as we want,ok n tayo sa simpling pamumuhay bsta marangal kahit di tayo maging mayaman bsta healthy lng, masaya na tayo niyan ++ maraming magagandang hidden gems ang pilipinas na di pa natin na discover ,at talaga nmn nakakahanga itong si kulas dahil sa knyang mga travel vlog nkikita natin ang mga lugar na di pa ntin narating at nadiskubre..
I hope he gets his Filipino Citizenship. I worked hard to get my Canadian Citizenship. It took me years of hard work and sacrifice. Sana matupad ang hinanahangad ni Kulas. God bless!

As admirable and commendable as he is for wanting to be Filipino, we have to realize that he is in a very unique situation living and making a living in the Philippines. He is a very popular vlogger which obviously translates to a comfortable income in a nutshell. And not to mention all the attention he gets from Filipinos which may be the biggest motivation for him. So my question is.. and he may have addressed this in the past, I don't know. Would he still feel the same way about living in the Philippines if lets just say he works as a bank teller for instance. My guess is probably not. This not to say that his intentions are not honorable. In fact i'm a big fan of his and I think he deserves all the positive attention he's receiving. Anyway I just wanted share my views and add context to this story.
He makes people happy wherever he goes! When he acts like a clown people not only laugh with him....they laugh at him too! So much positive vibe! Jandee and Kumar joke that they are Kulas' PINOY COOKING SLAVES. He can't live this life in Canada...only in the Philippines! Mabuhay!
This guy Kulas has been helping pinoys since Yolanda, he loves to live in the province and loves, mananguite, mangigisda, magsasaka life. He probably won't last being a teller tho, sure would bore him as hell! To each his own
