Join us in Gran Canaria as we stop off on our Canary Islands Cruise on board the P&O Azura ship. We dock in the port of Las Palmas and walk across to Playa De Las Canteras for a coffee and a walk along the beachfront promenade. From there we take a public taxi across to Maspalomas and the popular town of Playa Del Ingles. We take a walk around the Yumbo centre before enjoying a Hard Rock Cafe for lunch above Playa Del Ingles beachfront.
From Playa Del Ingles we walk along the sea front taking in some lovely views of the Maspalomas Sand dunes and an ice cream stop. From there it was another short taxi ride to Las Meloneras beachfront, one of our favorite areas to take a walk and do a bit of shopping. Overall it was a fantastic stop off on our cruise itinerary and we had some wonderful winter weather.

Liking the cruise vlogs Andrew. Brings back very recent memories as we got back Sunday from a 2 week Caribbean Cruise in Britannia. We loved it and setups are fairly similar. Cruising is such a good option to explore new places and good prices compared to a beach holiday in the Caribbean we loved the islands especially Barbados and St Vincent. Back in Tenerife for 1st time since the leaving drinks before your refurb! Keep up the good work 😃

Fair play for going to Playa Del Ingles, we spent 2 weeks there a couple of years ago, and found it seedy, like they had decided everywhere else needed money spent on it, but they didn't? would never return Say what you want about Tenerife, but we have been to nearly EVERY Canarian island but you can not beat it

Good Vlog. The lighthouse area is Faro de Masplomas. Melonaras beach is about 1km further on. That area is the most upmarket place in GC which may explain why it is so well kept

Playa De Las Canteras is very nice and convinent for nipping back into the city for shopping, eats and culture. But don't go there expecting a bar strip like other resorts.

I was in playa del ingles/maspalomas last week i thought most of the hotels looked dated compared to the other 3 main islands and found lots of small shopping centres half empty i think tenerife especially has taken some british tourists away from gran canaria, But meloneras was like you filmed really nice i would stay there although its not very big but there is a bus terminus and they are easy to get about on, i got a boss shirt too 😄got to be done how often do us blokes get to try this stuff on!, i must visit las palmas looks like a nice city.

There is a very fast direct bus from la palma to maspalomas only 1 hour very cheap about 5 euro each
