I have been a member for 10 years but was thinking of not renewing because of fees. But then we went to campfest (first festival I have been to) and had the best time ever so I'm the same rejoining 😂 you have to be a member. Thoroughly recommend👍👍

I've just bought a van which is now being converted (Camperversions) and once completed, this will be a new adventure for my wife and I. I'm currently learning as much as I can in advance of our 1st trip, hoping to thereby avoid to many mistakes! RU-vid is proving to be a massive help, but this is the 1st video that I've ever commented on... I really enjoyed it, thank you 👍👏

Interesting point about certified site as we have never used any either as they aren’t as easy to book having to make calls to sites which never usually answer and are limited to 5 vehicles. Are you enjoying the uorage from St Christopher mk1 to 2 still? What things besides a drainpipe for a shower would you change?

Excellent vlog again,😂it's a difficult one with the clubs,we got some regular ones in both clubs we go to,if your not a member, can be more expensive, I think Tewkesbury Abbey site was £15 a night more,if your not a member. 😮😮

I would say the majority of cl sites don't have showers. Been to loads never seen one. Just a field with services

Have you not considered CLs and CS’? Worthy of the annual fee to get access to those. Small 5 van sites, farms etc. can be very cheap per night.

We are members of the the camping and caravan club we use there Da weekend meets and there THS they are really cheap average 10.00 a night no extra for dogs or awnings.

Have you thought of joining your local club centre and then taking part in rallies? You'll then see value for money in your membership

How long did it take to walk from the site to Robin Hoods Bay? We've got an 11 year old Setter with limited walking capability. Cheers.

hi, great vid as always, we got our 1st motorhome last year its a Tablot express 1990, we got it to go around Europe. we used park4night to find places to stop in the uk and Europe. we are doind the same this year and cant wait.. in France you can get a camping car park card and you top it up as and when {most sties are 13 euros per night some even have free wifi} we are in the caravan & motorhome club for 2 reasons, 1 you can sometimes get cheaper motorhome insurance if you are part off the club and 2, you can save money on ferry bookings we saved £42 each way booking with the them. there camp sites are way to dear tho.. maybes see you on the road one day...

Hi guys! You two are so entertaining 😂 Middlewood farm is our fave go to campsite. We live in Hornsea so it’s not far away. Always clean and we love how quiet it is. The walk down is a breeze but back up 😮 a little challenging especially after a few bevvys 😂

Just come back from Conkers, South Derbyshire - superb site but not much around except dog walks.

I always pay the C&MHC membership but only ever use the CL site's and break down recovery. Also it allows you to go on rallies which can be good fun.

Love the North Yorks Heritage Coast, always visit when back in the UK because I'm from York 😊

One of favorite spots in the world is RHB - we cycle down and up from North Yorks Moors site when we visits 2-3 times a year - and Chris brought a whole new meaning to dog toffee.........and if as it seems you're still down with the Cam-c then do give the CL sites a look see - we need to be mindful dragging around some of America's finest sizewize but alongwith the friendly clubs CS sites that where most of our vantime goes. Did Robin Hood nick Chris's dry robe??

Well 10 / 10 for this vid guys. It has everything.... Informative, great comedy, compelling views and editing. We have been motorhoming in our very old Bubble vw autosleeper since covid and had the same dilemma about the clubs. We dumped the membership but still use ones we like when we want.. along with hundreds of favourite private sites. It works out much cheaper overall for us. The choccy fun was so funny especially at the end. Thanks so much once again for the fab entertainment. Bugger Netflix !

Good afternoon guys , like watching you but now starting to get depressed , you are falling to the Moho trap and don’t stop going on about the cost of sites in my mind if it’s to expensive for you don’t go ,simple some of us like sites with all mod cons and don’t mind paying for it !! We don’t do muddy fields,pub car parks next to the bin store or a lay-by If you are of the opinion that it’s to expensive just don’t go and dont join the clubs 👍

I've noticed that CAMC dont have many sites in North Yorkshire, there are more on the North West coast than Yorkshire. This looks like a good site though, I assume it has electric hook up as well as shower and toilet facilities?

So funny once again. We prefer caravan and camping club. We don’t usually go on their sites as they are expensive but attached to the club is the “out and about “ side. You get to use the district association sites, these are club meets all over the country and range from £8 -£12 per night usually on rugby/ school or other field that is hired but no facilities other than toilet empty facilities and fresh water. Otherwise you have to be self sufficient. They are a cheap way of getting away in your van in some amazing places. Some meet’s are even on camping sites were you are allowed to use the facilities like warham forest in Devon. Amazing. Caravan and motorhome club is too snobby for us. Love you guys. 👏👍😘

The CAMC prices are increasing every year and the facilities dont change much and not all of them have facilities such as toilets and showers

We see the attraction of the camping and caravanning sites, but you might miss out on some of the independent jems out there. How do, Great video guys, just started watching yous on RU-vid and enjoying the vids so keep up the good work. Me and the wife are members of both CAMC and candcc as I do like the options that both bring, having said that, we’re yet to use a Cand Cc site in the 2 years we’ve been members of both, the main reason Putting me off their sites is the fact they’ve gone cashless, which as a deep pocket short arm Yorkshire man does not sit right with me, I love the fact that at CAMC sites I can book on the app then pay the balance in cash when we arrive, as it should be. As a small family nowadays (2 grown up kids and 1 little one) cash is great for saving to go away with our caravan, and I really don’t like the way CandCc have basically told us that we can’t use their sites now as it’s all card payments. But… I will keep my subscription if only for the use of the CS sites that will more than likely still accept cash. Just opens more options to stay in other places. My rant over 😂 Keep up the good work Tom (Howden e Yorks)

Hi you guys love your channel and an extra bonus ya come from tarn . If you go a few miles past Robin hoods bay to Ravenscar Country house Hotel there’s a colony of gray seals swimming around the rocks at the bottom of the golf course ,but be careful it’s a bit of a slope getting down to the rocks .Another campsite in Whitby is High stragleton farm which overlooks the sea and the golf course between Whitby and Sands End , it’s a great site the people are nice it’s very cheap per night the showers are brilliant and it’s a 40 minute walk into Whitby along the front down by the sea .also there’s a pub called the White House at the end of the golf course that as brilliant food and a stunning view it’s not the cheapest but the whale and chips is some of the best snap I’ve had .keep up the good work and Al sithy 😘

Love you dry robe coat, how warm are they? I found in the past ( never been a caravan or motorhome member) when I used to camp in a tent you can still go to their sites most of the time and be cheaper if you go direct to the owner. It made me laugh as you even have red pooh bags!😂 Now were you brave enough to dip your toes in the north sea minus your boots? I used to do that in winter whenever I was on holiday there and I must admit people used to think I was bonkers. I got loads of strange looks but my feet used to feel wonderful after😂

Must agree with all you said, as a member of C&MHC it'll be my last year, they've dropped their prices but when you book a site you only get 1 adult per unit then when you put 2 adults the price goes up by £10, only saving I've had is booking euro crossings. we were at Middlewood farm 2 week ago 👍👍👍

Regarding Keswick, it’s very popular ,great access to the town and easy to get to mostly motorways and good A roads.I was a bit surprised about your comment about the CAMC website , it’s been terrible over the last two years although when working it ‘s ok.
