both worlds should be updated

it will delete the update, but we dont need it now as the latest firmware can run atmosphere on it.

why just update?

I wanna stay in the previous version, Nintendo is patching a glitch and I don't wanna lose that

I appreciate the help :), it still gives me the message to install the update since unfortunately it already downloaded the patch files of the game, I was completely clueless how to avoid getting to this point until I saw videos of people telling you to avoid the update if you wanted to keep the game glitch. Lol

It looks like if I keep the game running and just going to sleep mode I can avoid the update

u can update it, because it is now supported. but if u want to get rid of the notification, then boot to ofw, and soon after u see the nintendo logo, press the combo button

@@sthetixofficial I'm using the rcmloader so if I update it now it won't mess up the cfw I'm on 9.0.1

its ok to update. it depends on what cfw you are using

So I updated to the latest firmware via and I am stuck my sxos won’t boot and it’s very frustrating my atmosphere won’t boot as well

sxos 2.95 support 10.0.1 and 10.0.2 as well.. check if ur sdcard is fat32 or exfat

@@sthetixofficial I don't know why it kept failing. I have a 256gb SD card and I checked how much memorie is already used. There was enough memorie left. About 180GB.

maybe you need to hold and press the power button for 12 secs and try again

try initialize and reset ur console

@@sthetixofficial the initialize without deleting save data doesn't fix it and I can't complete a full initialization. It freezes at around 60 percent. I cant find the error anywhere online but it is when the switch cannot access the storage or something.

I was on the same page as you. It didn't really asked you to update to play games since you still had the choice to "Start Software" despite the annoying notification that tells you to update. Anyway, READ THIS CAREFULLY OR ELSE YOU'LL BRICK YOUR SWITCH: (not really lol) 1.) Turn off your Switch 2.) Insert the Jig and put it on RCM Mode 3.) Inject the fusee-primary.bin or inject that payload if you're using RCMLoader (which I do) 4.) Atmosphere will boot like this (sept>Atmosphere with a "R" on the bottom">Nintendo Switch Logo). Keep holding both volume buttons when you're on the "Atmosphere with a "R" on the bottom" point until you get to Maintenance Mode. 5.) Press the power button 6.) Boot again to Atmosphere 7.) Profit You should be able to see Atmosphere back to normal and no annoying notification telling you to update your game.

@@MhysT_MC4 Oh I already had got it but thanks for trying to help! So I had put the switch back in airplane mode, then went into maintanence mode and then booted the switch back into atmosphere which should get rid of the update prompt but it didn't for me. The issue was that even though I was in airplane mode, for some reason I had to turn airplane mode back off and then forget my network password, then turn it back to airplane mode and go back into maintanence mode. Then booting back into atmosphere and it was all good!

@@sthetixofficial the games were already updated. It was asking me to update the actual console, as I could go into the settings and where you can check what firmware version you have but instead of showing my version, it told me the update was ready. Fixed it though by having to forget my network along with turning it back to airplane mode, airplane mode by itself didn't work for whatever reason.

@@MhysT_MC4 Also no, I was not given the choice to start software. It said the switch had already downloaded the new firmware and that I had to install the new firmware update to play the game and no choice to play the games without

it is for the system firmware only.

@@sthetixofficial that's unfortunate. Do you know if that or similar things have been tried to delete a game update? Or has it been tried with no success?

.. why dont u update? as long as u enable wifi and turn on auto update then it will haunted you with updates

I'm disconnected from wi-fi. I'm able to boot into that maintenance mode. The system update is gone after that. But the next time I turn on my switch it prompts for the update again. I'm not able to delete it.

the switch system is like that. Nintendo designed it to be like that. why dont you update to 12.0.3 ?

@@sthetixofficial basically if you did the 12.0.3 update you have issues downloading updates and games.
