It's amazing Paul, I'm finally getting visits with my son. My ex and his new gf are trying to poison a 4 year old. They are instructing him to not trust me, and they're lying to him, calling me a stranger to him. The new gf is his mom, and I'm just someone dad used to know. It's so hard having to steel my heart just to reconnect with my own son, but I'm doing it. I'm not going to stop showing up for him because other people don't like me. They can't make that choice for my child. That child didn't dump me and tell me Id be replaced. That child has half brothers and an entire world of love waiting for him. The legal world moves like molasses, but we're moving. We are taking every proper step. At the end of the day, I would cry a million times over if it meant not having my son feel the hurt this is causing. He is 4. He will be ok. ❤
I know your pain minus a gf. Long time ago with my now deceased ex! Had a court evaluator. He was alcohol dependent. Many issues dealt with for 8.5 yrs. My son was 4 yo when divorced. Now 22 yo in Air Force. His Sr. yr HS was hardest. Super close with just me & him 11 yrs. He reunited with father for a few road trips 2019. My ex told half truths or not the whole story & telling son I’m crazy. I took care of him, raised him alone & no family, all in diff state. My conscious is clear. Gave my son everything. I didn’t get son DL due to bad behavior. It made him reach out to father after 11 yrs. Fthr never sent any gift or cards. I made up for. So fthr helped him & helped with a car. Disney dad. Well… 4 yrs later Ex dies from stage 4 liver cancer!! I was told by Air Force Chaplin that now fthr can’t say bad things. I also know God works for good. If I wld have helped him get license he wld never have reconnected with fthr to know him have the bit of time! Trust me it all works out!! Just keep telling your son that you are always his mom & mother. Kids are super smart! Mine at 3 yo told how fthr drinkjng/driving in car with him! The key is get police reports when you can. It’s proof. Or in your case go to a counselor! Get the reports for divorce. Say nothing of what you’re doing no matter how mad you get!! Stupid people learn from smart! Be your own lawyer too. Say nothing to son except how much you love him, etc. Kids are super smart! Whoever talks bad… the child will resent them. I never said anything, he overheard me & now since met fthr turned against me. Tho he’s in AF & only knew fthr 1 year when older. He’s growing up & see pics of him to know doing good. He will come back to me one day I keep praying. Focus on your son & your life, having fun even going to a park together… not the negative evil from ex! This is what our kids remember ❤
