Cancun Mexico RIU Palace Peninsula Resort Travel Day, Check-in, Resort Tour, and Room Tour 

It is indeed a huge resort. The biggest one my wife and I have stayed at so far. The beach is one of the best features of this resort that we enjoyed. Early morning walks on the beach are so enjoyable here.

Thanks for watching. No, this resort is a few miles down the road from Coco Bongo. There are two Riu resorts near Coco Bongo though. Palace Las Americas and Riu Cancun. Both of the those resorts are around the corner from Coco Bongo.

The ocean view junior suite since that is the only kind of suite I have stayed in at that resort.

That Riu resort is called Riu Caribe. Yes, you can use the other resort pools and eat at the other restaurants and buffets. That is the nice thing about Riu hotel chain in Cancun. And there are a couple of them in the resort zone. I don't believe the beds are extra. My wife and I used them and weren't told anything about paying extra or reserving them. They are popular so you just have to get down the beach early morning to use them.

You do not pay for any chairs its all included also your wristband gets you into the next door riu and also the two others that are in town very handy for your lunch and of course free drinks hoe this helps .

Definitely enjoyed the experience!!! Highly recommend this resort!!! The food and service Riu Palace was exceptional during the stay. The buffets were very good. Though if you are a fan of sea food, that is the part where the buffet is a little lacking with there being a ban on fishing right now in the region. Went there pre covid there was an Crab Leg and Lobster night, but not currently. All the evening restaurants I highly recommend. I believe Krystals is currently the favorite right now with me and my wife.

I can confirm. I was there couple of months ago. Very nice resort, very friendly staff. And if you wanna go diving, check out aha scuba diving or coconut divers, just nearby. Super nice people!

The AC, when we used it, was very nice! Yes, you can control the thermostat. The AC, if you choose, can get very cold.

Jr. Suite sea view. Pretty much every room in the Riu Palace Peninsula has a ocean view.

The only rooms, I would say, that don't have much of an ocean view are the ones closer to the ground level. Once you go above the 3rd floor, the views get better and better. I love the way this resort was designed. The hallways are on the street side view so all rooms have an ocean view unlike its neighbor resort Riu. Stayed there too, prefer Riu Palace Peninsula.
