She went silent as she mulled over my comments. After a few minutes she came to the conclusion that my physical safety was far more important to her than any insult from any stranger. She has never put me in that situation again. While the above incident may indicate to I agree with you I don't. While it was done diplomatically with the statement, "Please do not issue cheques that I have to cash" it was still a confrontational, yet very peaceful, coversation with my partner on how her actions affected me. It was a needed conversation that set certain ground rules about expetations in our relationship. And while it went extremely well, it could have gone the opposite direction at which I would have ended the relationship. In short, our core values can never be taken from us. We either have the strength to maintain our core values and walk away from those who would expect us to change, or we give up our core values for something else. Will Smith is a man and as such is resposible for Will Simith's actions regardless who may have influence with him.
