I was just looking through some studio footage from before covid, and I found this great video. It's a conversation between Margie and studio instructor Natalia Castellanos about the Haber Phrasing and how to navigate the pressures of memorizing.
One of the reasons I feel so strongly about working with Margie is how valuable her phrasing approach has been for me and so many other actors. But even though I know this approach well, I still get nervous and often feel pressure.
Watching this short and humorous video I felt myself breathe a deep sigh of relief as I'm reminded to trust myself and the process.
If you struggle with nervousness and put pressure on yourself to memorize (or not memorize) this is well worth watching.
