Candlemass: At The Gallows End - REACTION! 

I wasn't familiar with Keith Flint, so I had to look him up. Evidently he took his own life, which is especially tragic. I always urge people: if you are going through terrible emotional suffering, please, please, PLEASE reach out for help. It's there, more than you might think it is. The Candlemass number was well done, kind of weirdly bombastic and metal at the same time. A typically incisive analysis by Our Glorious Host. Btw, I haven't executed heretics since '98. Have to say, I kinda miss it some nights...

Great choice (5 months or not). My personal favorite track from this "Mount Rushmore" band of the doom metal genre.

I don't like this kind of vibrato on a voice, but it works with them very, very well... I think they just got an album out not with Messiah on vocals though... He left the band for some years now.

Getting closer to our days there is a new band that bears the legacy of old school doom. They are also great at recreating an old medieval athmosphere in their songs so with that I guess they are double retro 😕. The band is called Crypt Sermon and their song "Into the holy of holies " has lots of tasty stuffed in for a doom metal song. Pls react to this!

I like this band more. When they do a more darker sounding Guitar style.

You gotta react to Pusher by Shun the Raven. I think you will like the style. it's a tool influenced band thats local to my hometown high point, NC. they are very small, ( like, they have only 6 songs small) but I feel that their sound is good and I would appreciate if you could check them out. Edit: They are by no means tool, just have a touch of them here or there.
