This was the third overall week to open the 1996 - 1997 season of Stars & Strikes, with this match being the semi-final of the first ladder series, featuring Jack Ray going for his third win in a row, having to face off against Mr. 500, Paul Berger.
This match was very exciting, featuring a scoring battle back and forth between the two bowlers that really led to an exciting finish with one of the bowlers making a BIG charge at the end.
