If I were NFL commissioner, I'd put broadcasts of football games played on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday nights on a strict "GAME OVER" timer; if the game is not finished by midnight that night, the lights at the stadium will IMMEDIATELY go out and the game will end in a tie. For playoff games, if the game is not finished by 11:30 PM that night, the game clock will IMMEDIATELY be deactivated and the winner will be decided by a coin toss. For the Pro Bowl, if the game is not finished by 11 PM that night, the game clock will IMMEDIATELY be deactivated and the winner will be decided by a 50-yard dash, which will start at midfield; first one to cross the goal line wins. For the Super Bowl, if the game is not finished by 10:30 PM, the game clock will IMMEDIATELY be deactivated and the winner will be decided by a 100-yard dash, which will start at the away team's goal line; first one to cross the home team's goal line wins.
