Yes we definitely can. We did it on plastics and other materials on higher temperatures through 'instrumentations and controls'. HOWEVER, you will lose your unique advantage through customer involvement and visual entertainment aspect from processing. it might be an important marketing tool in that area. you will just end up like any other industrial candy factory.

I think the charm of hand chopping is how imperfect the candies come out. The pieces are all slightly different sizes and shapes. Normally, this is not a good thing, but it does give it a more homemade look and feel, as opposed to a factory produced commercial candy. If a machine did it, it would probably be designed to do it make perfectly uniform pieces.
@Avrelianvs

Or you could just add a maximum and minimum randomizer to randomize intervals of chopping to make the illusion of randomness.. We live in a world of lies, there is no babies crying over mass produced candy.

I'm pretty sure she's saying "There's no way around it" in reference to the available options at THIS candy shop. She's saying that their crimping machine will never replace hand-chopping because it would hide the pattern inside the candies. Not that an automated chopping machine could never be invented. I feel like all these comments are thinking she's dumb or "in denial" that a machine could do her work, and that's not how I'm interpreting it at all.

And the cutting mechanism would definitely be under 1000 $, more like 500 $ plus... There would be several possibilities for "feeding" the cutting mechanism. The simplest and cheapest would be a mixture of gravity, rollers and a spacer. Depending on who assembles it, it should be somewhere between $1,500 and $2,500. But yes, a machine that creates the right design before cutting would be significantly more expensive. At least if you want to minimise human help in the process.

It’s really weird as an American hearing other countries saying “Lolly” to refer to a massive variety of hard candy. This comment section is throwing me for a loop, dear lord. Ya'll need to chill-if they wanted a machine, they'd invest in one. The creator has acknowledged in other comments that doing the chopping by hand is part of the fun-which I'm inclined to believe. It's also part of the art form in a way as this isn’t a large company, but a small business that prides itself for being homemade. The fact that some of you are practically worshiping automation is alarming. No, not everything has to be automated just because it can because that's how we get things like AI art and whatnot. Obviously, this isn’t anything like that, but you get my point, its the same mindset of "We must make a machine do this task that can easily be accomplished by humans." However, the simple act of chopping is: a) Good for providing humans jobs b) Good on a business standpoint since a big seller is that they claim to be handmade; which customers are naturally attracted to. Just look at how any commercial (lets say for chicken eggs) will make it quick to claim that they are "organic" or "farm raised chickens". It is a big selling point, therefore good for business. Anything that seems more "personal" and less automated just naturally speaks to people. It feels special. c) Even after up-front costs, machinery can still be expensive! If it malfunctions or breaks well SOMEONE has to come in and repair it. Then they'll be dishing out yet even more upfront money to repair it. Wether you are an engineer (good for you) or not-can't we just all agree that yes, the way in which the sentence was worded is misleading and wether or not you believe what she said was to be taken at face value; that this isn’t something to get up in arms for? I mean, how many of you IMMEDIATELY saw this and went "Well i can make/think of a chopping machine" and felt the need to "school" this creator about it and then made the conscious decision to write a comment? Some of you have good intentions, others are definitely ego feeding, or trolls-I dunno. The point is, just keep it to yourself-it's really not worth this man vs machine debate because it's irrelevant to this situation. The business will operate the way the owners want it to, no amount of arguments or reasonings will change that because machinery is obviously out of the question for them and that is perfectly justified. End of discussion. Another nitpick irrelevant to this rant: I saw several peolple say "They won't use machines because if they do it by hand they can charge more for the candy 🤓." Yes, thank you for that insight, but the simple solution would be ✨️not buy the candy. What a crazy concept, right? In all seriousness, being a small business and making a breakthrough in the market is HUGE especially for something as marketable as CUSTOM CANDIES. I would like to see some of you smug people try to operate a business like a multi-billion dollar company would from your garage. Lemme know how that goes 👋

There are a few things you may have missed or not seen that I remember for Markiplier's old playthrough, albiet I am unsure how many are part of the version you played as he used the Special Edition. The notes folder should have notes appearing somewhere around the end of the forest, where you can enter and exit an empty room to find a human soul hiding in there, who has his soul data corrupted by your actions and then the game crashes. The game "Lost" is an actual multiplayer game, completing it would give a code to unlock a door in The Finale for a secret The "Real" ending changes in the Special Edition, with Nightmare getting slowly Sorting Algorithm Crushed and then wiped away. This also seems to prevent the Nightmare Ending from happening; but I'm not 100% sure of that. There is a chance for a reference to "My Place" to appear when booting up the game.
