Amen. Keep in mind, these women are MUSICIANS, while most of what is out there now are 'studio stars'. Hell, throw me in a studio and with enough electronic tweaking, I could sound like Steve Perry. These ladies are the real deal no doubt.
I appreciate the younger girls out here who are making pop music success, but I'm sorry, when you look at women like this commanding a stage in every capacity, you truly learn what it means to be one of the "baddest chicks in the game" where music is concerned.
God bless whoever posted this trip to funky, female player paradise! You can't go wrong with either Shelia E. or Candy Dufler. But together? Along Candy's incredible band? AMAZING. Thank you very much. And please explain the 6 people who didn't like this. To each his or hear own. But really, this is top of the charts.
This music is so funky, vibrant and real. It just never ceases to get me in a good mood. What others have said: Young musicians looking for popsy shortcuts should look at what these women do. They rock hard.
I have been looking 4 these videos 4 a while. Now, I have found them. They are awesome. Sheila E. is the reason why I play drums 2 this day. I can't wait 2 meet her.
We were The Jammers, me and my sister, in the last Den Haag quake before Rotterdam,,, and it all became even more funkier, the best Jazz Festival in the EU.
