@spyderlee, The dimples are called solvent pop. It's created from the solvent on the bottom layer not fully dried and evaporating through the top layer.

Looks great man! Try some conditioner on the soft top. I used dash spray and it worked great to bring the vinyl back. Painting is so hard to do correctly.

I usually use the autoglym bumper restorer. Does a good job but not done it for months.

I reckon carbon fibre parts are being a bit over-done lately. Really like the choice of colours and that you didnt opt for carbon fibre wraps on the grey parts. Really tidy work mate. +1

Perfect Candy Black Cherry Red I would have gone with a more bronze base coat, golden flakes (mixed micro and medium flakes with some gold pearl too) and the candy on top to get a slightly deeper effect

Mine was replacement fenders and bumpers. Still a pain to fit but better than cutting up parts to fit

The lumps in the paintwork is called micro blistering it’s caused from moisture/water under the base coat. you probably have water in your compressor and the airlines

Yeah I’ve got much better filters now on a second airline. I don’t think the filters were up to the job last time

The shape of the car in grey had a Carrera GT look to it. Thought it would look good with a mock Carrera GT spoiler. Not into spoilers, just thought it would be a crazy look done right.

to get a better paint result, you should mop up the whole shop floor and any dusty surface really. the dust can sometimes get airborne and cause the fisheye or nibs in the paint.

I did mop up. The dust I get is from the roof of the workshop, it falls down when birds walk on it.

Love it. Had you thought of doing the side scoops in grey? Or does the black echo the splitter/diffuser/skirts? Hard to tell in video compared to up close. Got a few jobs to do on my SW20 to put it back on the road (it’s under a cover at the moment and jobs to do keeps it off slippery winter roads). One of them is a completely unnecessary reversing camera as the touchscreen head unit I put in has an input for a camera.

Yeah I wet it but it dried out really quick lol. The dust I get is from the workshop roof, I’m near the sea, seagulls walking on it disturb the dust.

@@SpyderLEE just make a cabin from plastic and wood. blow fresh air in it and filter that air. the pressure will make a clean envirement to spraypaint your car. leave a hole so the dust from the spraypaint can escape. wetsanding your car will get rid of the dust but you will see collor difference because the layer of candy red will get thinner. you could have solved this problem to spray a lot of layers clearcoat on top of it.
