Covid has affected us in many ways, but there are two things that Covid made difficult, luckily we found a loophole. One is getting gym equipment for our home gym because it’s been sold out everywhere! That, and going to a movie theater, since they have all been closed down. Welp, we made it happen!!
Meet our family. We are Dustin and Burton, gay dads, and proud parents of our twins, Stone and Holland Buffaloe. We created our family vlog, "Raising Buffaloes," as a resource for all. We are an All American Family, who happen to be gay parents through surrogacy. On our channel, you will see videos of our family adventures and grasp what it's like to raise kids in the south as a gay couple. Our dad vlog captures our parenting and fatherhood journey, but you'll find much more. We open up about our coming out journey, relationship and marriage tips, and how to live life with a little more laughter. We use our voice to shed light and awareness to the LGBTQ+ community, gay rights equality, and opening eyes to others. Family has many definitions, and this is ours. We hope you subscribe and follow along our journey of raising our little Buffaloes.

Yes, and wholesome is the word. We are within a few years of celebrating 50 years as a same sex couple with children. Over the years, and in our pastoral and mental health professions, it was often easy to discern which couples would emulate us, and other friends we had.. The eldest and earliest were together since WWII ...and were mentors to us. Yes, they are the “complete example”.....” mens sana in corpore sano “ beautiful family “ inside and out.”.

Except for the part where they teach their kids it is okay to smuggle in candy to the theater when they know it is against the theater's policy to not bring in outside treats.

That looks like the best day ever; I LOVE silliness!!! When my kids were very young, and being in the middle of a terrible recession, we struggled to put food on the table. Ray couldn’t find work ( kind of what families are facing now). Anyway, I’d get up on the table while they ate, and I danced around and sang very silly songs.To this day they remember mom dancing on the table, but they don’t remember that they were eating potato soup for two weeks straight. Not feeling sorry, just saying that laughter and love covers up a whole lot of impoverishment. Your the best❣️

I think without a doubt that you are the best dame good parents i have ever seen where kids are being nurtured so beyond one could ever predict in an environment or pandemic time which no one could have possibly saw this was coming. Durston, Oh, the possibilities with all of those treasure you’ve found! So neat! Can’t wait to see what you, Stone and Holland create with all of your neat discoveries. Those old chairs would be neat to use for your wedding venue! Maybe for the bridal parties? Just an idea... You guys are really working it in the aisles of Target! 😂 I can still remember the smell of theaters. Popcorn, butter, leather, etc. but when that sound from the screen starts to play, is an excitement that is unparalleled to watching a movie at home. You guys are always so creative with your kids! It’s Thursday morning. and Wednesday had no episode. We just can’t imagine how time consuming it must be to develop a theme and execute the script. I’ve assume that Dustin still has his cosmetology business and Burton has his profession as well. It gave us time to relive episodes with special interest to D and B and we..Luckily both grandparents, and especially grandmothers are there to help and enjoy their children’s children they probably never envisioned would happen. We know....it happened to us. As to preparing in advance, we have been saving every year since our 28th anniversary and legal renewal of vows for our 50th anniversary celebration and geriatric honeymoon....lol....that’s in a little less than four years from now. Seriously, we have been saving in a special account so a not to occur debt. Finally, in our lives we owe nothing. We plan a significant reception and then a month in Asia, in places we served and promised, if possible to return before our extreme age and ill health or before we decease lol. Our son learned this.....he’s on a full ride scholarship in a prestigious private university . He then wants to serve his country as a Naval medical officer.The university he attends has a program that guarantees a seat in their medical school, for deserving undergrad alums. In return for a requisite number of active duty years of service , the Navy pays for medical school with monthly stipend. What motivates him is love of country and Anchors Away.....keeping both sailors and marines and their families healthy.

Awe, that made me feel good!! Seeing that you have your special coat for getting snacks into the movies and I have my special jacket for smuggling too... Albert’s relatives are in NC .Yes, he’s a Smith. For nearly a half century, he loves going “pickin” for old things. Born in 1950, his eldest sister was born in 1928, and that was our tie. We both had grandparents born during the Civil War....that’s grandparents as in the mother’s and father’s parents. The barn would make an excellent office, but a better all purpose room, ie chapel, community room...which is what the military does with such a space. We went from a NRHP home to mission in sub Saharan Africa for two years....from comfortable to “rustic” and the next was South America with only a small degree of separation. Our son learned to accommodate to his surroundings, which is an advantage later in their lives. My younger seventy year old husband was already doing a mental calculation of your treasure.....LOL
