The dark colored one looks great. I have been thinking about buying a cold steel axe head but this looks more comfortable and functional.

Well that sucks! Great cane's and all but the price! I want a hybrid: one that supports my weight, is good for defense, but a reasonable price. Good info with the training. I would take the course if i could afford the cane

Thank you for commenting Ryan! No need to wait to afford any particular cane to get trained, as the cane doesn't make the Caner, it's actually the other way around, TRAINING is the real equalizer. As an example the Cuban Cane art of Sobrevivencia was battle tested on the island with what would be considered today as "mediocre or subpar" Canes. No access to hardwoods, air craft grade aluminum or expensive machinery for elaborate designs. Yet, one can't argue with the arts' track record for effectiveness in the trenches. @AmericanCaneSelfDefense I get that 100% just because you carry something for defense does not make you safe. I have about 1.5 years of training at dictate tactical training center in Colorado. I'm having too many medical problems and I'm taking a break. Don't know when I can start back up again. When I can I'll look into your class as well. I use a cane on and off. I try not to relie on it too much. I'd love to have some training with one just in case. Thanks for the reply

Something I worrie about is a cool looking cane like a couple of those becoming targets of strong arm theft by running, timing and surprising from behind.

Where can I find your Website, to choose a Wooden Hookcane with Horn and 95cm length ? I need It as Medical Device and for Self Defense I have the U. Cutlery Hookcane, but I find The Hookwidth is a lil bit to smal

Thank you for your inquiry @peterhurlander! - ACSD only offers canes with horns/crooks (J-Shaped Handle) - Sounds like you're referring to the width of the Crook. You may find our Cane video catalog here: americancaneselfdefense.com/canes/ - you mentioned "for self defense" so we're assuming you're trained in Cane Self Defense? If not, we HIGHLY recommend bundling any Cane with the 6 week training course (the real equalizer). Standard Cane wooden is 36 inches-if you need it to ambulate, may want to measure from styloid process of wrist (wrist bone, pinky finger side) to the floor. Regardless of Cane length, for self protection, training will determine how eefective you cn be under duress. Stay Safe!
