Canibus, if it wasn't for your music may have Died,I Love you Brother, Thank you for helping me find myself through your Lyrical Visions, I See with my 3rd eye Optical, Clarity through Equality, God's Sun's
Yannow...my fiance made this beat and arranged all the canibus vocal tracks to create this song. He is a wonderfully creative person. Go Mike Savi!!!!❤️
This isn’t a oobe or ploo ? Who’s your BF Savi? This video doesn’t have any credits to it It should. It’s actually good as oobe ones. One of the best I’ve heard to be honest. Why hasn’t he made any more ?
MrMoneyHungryBastard exactly, except I don’t think in terms of lists,I place emcees in planes and spheres Where numbers aren’t fixed. There isn’t no number 1,2,3 or 10 Instead there’s a level that when you reach You’re immortalised. You’ve gotten to a level where it’s just too hard to compare you to others of that calibre.
All these years later... this song still gives me goosebumps. Canibus words... his delivery, this mix, Sunshine... "What are you building Bis? Is is a flying silver disk? If you ever leave you'll be missed." I tear through the galactic shift, I travel 10 digits in 10 minutes, now that's some shit. Think that's fast, nah it's faster than you think, by the time you blink the whole universe shrinks. My goodness Canibus, if there ever was a chosen one in hip hop, you are that man, the last man alone with God. At the end of time, a moment will come when just one man remains. Then the moment will pass. Man will be gone. There will be nothing to show that we were ever here... but Canibus.
It's a quote from the movie this sample is taken from clown... hop off mine and educate yourself. The song is called Sunshine, the beat he's rapping over is from the main theme in the film Sunshine and the quote itself is one of the most memorable lines in that film Sunshine ***** ... God I hope you are a house ridden bubble boy and arent able to spread your stupidity on an unsuspecting populous, that would be tragic.
Sometimes we forget people have feelings on here, the net has truly desensitized us, I'm the first to admit it has made me a lot more disrespectful than I would care to admit. Your last response kinda slapped some sense into me for a moment *****... Perhaps I might a flew off the deep end a bit in my reply to you. Figured if you were commenting then you'd know the story, would have seen the movie thus should have understood the reference and quote. Peace.
The chain of command blames the unseen hand The Galactic Plane has a Galactic Plan I look up in the sky to see if God is judging me Suddenly I feel Fatima and Medjugorie come to me. So beautifully constructed. Who else in the world could come up with that kind of line? He can tell you a story in1 line.
+Cody Godin He lost a battle rap to a career battle rapper. Congratulations to Dizaster. He was better and deserved to win, and it was a humiliation for Canibus. But Dizaster, and pretty much everyone else in hip hop is simply not on the same planet when it comes to writing rhymes like this. Genius is not strong enough a word. There are scholars and professors of religion and astronomy who have no idea of the things he rhymes about.
+Tiago Zandro I read both verses, Bis had much, much better material. Like, really mean shit that will get under your skin for the next 4 years. Didn't Diz kind of go into a downspiral of drugs and bullshit after that battle, all of it ending in a coma? Then there's the question about bis getting jumped the night before... I wonder... It's not like Diz shoots at passing cars on the freeway or anything. Not like he's capable of such a thing...
All the way from South Africa. Much respect Can I Bus. Raw Talent at its best. Ill-est of our generation. One of the greatest underground MC's after KRS, Daddy Kane, G Rap, Master Ace and not forgetting Kweli.... I'm down with "Bus". All day every day!!
Poet Laureate has to be the most amazing track ever recorded, infinite mixes with infinite meanings and interpretations. It's one of the finest pieces of art ever created in this age of disposable monoculture.
Victor Yea he basically invented that. Layering. Also Canibus was the first artist to have a website online. In like 99 or 98 it was lol. No other artist had a webpage at the time. He was way ahead of his time.
Never seen a youtube comment section this positive, Canibus will remain g.o.a.t in hip-hop lyricism no matter how many rap battles he will beef, he might be garbage at freestyle battling, but in terms of lyricism he's unquestionably one of the greatest!
All cultures come from one mind. The universe is not far behind wave bars, and rhymes. Motivated by the stars that shine. Only lower density life-forms get lost in time. I don't care if I make history I wanna be a part of infinity. Look at what your sun god did to me. I am energy, I am here spiritually, and mentally.
@@ShitSoda That line about the whole universe shrinking actually is real physics he is talking about. "I travel 10 digits in 10 minutes, now that's some shit! You think that's fast? Nah, its faster than you think. By the time you blink, the whole universe shrinks!" According to special relativity, if you travel very close to the speed of light then the distance to between objects that are in the direction that you are going actually shrinks. So you will get to your destination even faster than you may have thought since the whole universe in front of you has shrunk!
The chain of command blames the unseen hand, the galactic plane has a galactic plan. I look up in the sky to see if God is judging me then Suddenly I feel Fatima and Medjugorie come to me. Pshhh...
Bis is and has always been on another level. great blend right here you are on to something with this really matches canibus' complexity and thought on this one niiiiice
Constant battle raps. Can't write a hit song. Got a reputation for being too arrogant and hard to work with, and on and on. Once you get a rep for not being easy to work with, you're fucked in the music industry. But even that could've been overcome if he just could've learned to write songs that appealed to more than just us underground heads.
liljuve13 *shrugs* being a commercial artist is a job. If you're not going to do it by the book, then you have to get the fuck out or get thrown the fuck out. Canibus got thrown the fuck out. Simple as that.
Bis has been the cornerstone of every playlist for 22 years. Can’t believe after all this time no one can box with him. Wish the Diz thing never happened but what can you do.
" You think that's fast? Naw, it's faster than you think!!" 💥💥💥💥💥💥 Faster than your thoughts AND faster than what you thought it was.... This is sacred word smithing💯
@younghia Thank you very much! In my opinion, Canibus has achieved mastery over his craft. Some people may lack the capacity to appreciate his work, while others may want something entirely different out of music. To me, though, he's extraordinary. Glad you enjoyed the remix!
To me it's about an exploration of the soul and mind explained as in such a scientific and emotionally complex way as a space exploration. But re listen and you'll hear it on deeper levels.
Saw the movie Sunshine few days ago. I knew I heard this song immediately when I heard the soundtrack from the movie. Man. Looked I'd up on RU-vid. Boooom. I totally forget about this track. Love this tune. I ain't going to forget the second time. Respect for making this remix. Big up.
Canibus is my life. I have listened to him since I was 9, dabbing in is ufo conspiracy shit then he started speaking real shit to me. I understand that he isn't about science and shit, but how hip hop and science can relate through metaphysics. I'm trying to become an emcee myself, and Canibus inspires me. He helped me learn what words and shit were, he is just a genius. I'm not gay or anything, but if I met Canibus, I would probably cry or something. He is the best rapper ever.
Unfortunately, not enough people really ufck with him since he was never able to/interested in moving from the freestyle or battle rap genre into the main stream. If labels don’t push you, you tread water in the Indy scene only reaching your core fans. His core fans, (me being one of them), have rocked with him since before he destroyed LLs corny ass in 2nd round KO, but the radio stations and labels all ran with the, “I gotta give it to my man LL” narrative & that threw ice water onto his main stream momentum. One of my all time favorite lines from him: “Oh, you number 1? Well I’m -2… basically n**** that means I’m STILL better than you.” The brain that sewed this algebraic formula into such a savage bar is operating on an entirely different level. For anyone who hasn’t already, check out his track: “Channel Zero”
"The sun is so bright my eyes hurt, I'm forced to look downwards to see inside the earth". This track is incredible. The imagery & metaphors are crazy. Nice work!!!
Honestly when I die this song is being played at my cremation it punctures my soul in a way only a handful of songs can do. This is truly a masterpiece
i get chills every i listen to this bis mix. fucking legendary. respect to the visionary musician who put this shit together. straight epic. whoever you are, you are a true artist and this song is the evidence. do your thing kid
Man.... wtf happened to Canibus? This dude is one of the most lyrically talented rappers to ever exist. I miss rap like this :/ Music now a days sucks compared to actual lyricists!
i thought im the only one who here in 2k21. glad to see u here homie. real ones keep it real. canibus one of them. still prayin for DMX hope u gon make it ! big bless man
@mikesavi This is beautiful. If one truly understood Canibus, then they would know that this music perfectly captures the sentiments he wishes to convey to his fans. Please keep it up and thank you for the gift.
Still cannot get enough of this masterpiece. I tried messing around with the bar machine that created this, and can never even come close to mixing it as well as this kat did.
@mikesavi incredible. Bis is my favorite lyricist and artist out there, and i don't care much for the beat because he destroys them all, but this is beautiful. thanks for posting this, nothing short of art.
In the small percentage of a chance can-i-bus sees this comment... I just wanna say, you are a f***ing poet my guy! This is straight up from the inner parts of the soul and is literally a work of art.... Being great at hip-hop isn't based off of how many views or "followers" you have ... its based off of how many intellectual "followers" your have ✊
