…and why buy a gun from a company that’s still in the “learning phase?” It’s still junk compared to an Hk, Glock or a 2.0 M&P. Why waste one’s money on a “not quite yet there gun,” that’s made in a screwed up predominantly Middle Eastern arm pit?
@@colt10mmsecurity68 I respect your opinion but the Canik is fire. And hasa better trigger than all the firearms you listed. I have the vp9 and the 2.0
@@Precocktrigger Sir, the triggers are fine on the guns I listed, as evidenced by the simple fact those guns are currently used collectively by the millions and in real world law enforcement and militaries around the world. Not so for the Canik. ‘Nuff said right there.
@@Precocktrigger What swat teams, police departments, federal law enforcement agencies or 1st world militaries issue Canik handguns???? Anybody???? …that what I thought.
2 gripes. One, plastic optics mount. Two, can only mount optics designed for carry guns. I bought both the sfx blackout and the mete sfx at the same time. Being able to mount a full size pistol optic on the sfx is a game changer. Also being right handed the ambi stuff isnt a big deal. Both triggers are virtually the same. Prolly get a freedomsmith for the sfx and throw a light in the mete for a nice home defense pistol.
@@relentlessrival7185 I'm not sure the one that fits the sft is a tp9 holster someone put in the comments that it fit like a glove. I'm pretty sure the old sfx holsters would fit the new mete sfx just not sure if they sell one. I'd take a look at thier website though might be able to find something. Hope this helps.
Yeah its called boil the frame in black rit dye. Did it with my FDE Arex Delta came out great. Better than cerekote it soaks deep all the way into the polymer
@@redeye8526 if you don’t mind, how exactly did you do that. I have never heard of boiling a frame in dye before. How durable is it and does it cover the FDE well. Thanks in advance for your time. Would have preferred the black mete sfx over the FDE. But none available around me.
i want to get this gun and see how well it shoots and it holds 18 and 20 round magazines that's cool. you see i don't want no gun with a small grip with less ammo i'm a big dude and i need something that my hand can fit and i can shoot without being tired. i need a full size gun that i can keep at home and carry conceal if i have too. i'm convince that this will be one of the guns i buy
Don't get me wrong Glocks are good but never felt that great I. My hand looked others owned a few came across the canik bought 3 the sf the sft mete and the elite sc
Anyone have experience concealed carrying the Mete SFT? I’m considering this as part of my rotation but hearing conflicting opinions about whether I should conceal carry this weapon.
If you’ve full sized carry in the past, then it’s fine. Striker fired can be an issue for those who prefer have one in the chamber and so for that reason prefer to have the hammer, so they can be sure when they draw that they can hold the action in place… but the EXCELLENT trigger on the STF has safety on it, so maybe that’s enough relief for you so that you don’t find striker a consideration. As stated in the video, it’s a full sized gun. For me, I can conceal with both light and with red dot on a full sized weapon with no issue, but that’s me. Maybe you prefer subcompact and this thing is too big. I like it, but am also considering trying the MC9 for a bit, just to size down and experiment.
SF has a 4.08 inch barrel and 7.17 inch length overall and 15 rounds. SFT has a 4.46 inch barrel and 7.56 inch length overall with 18-20 rounds. Pretty much everything else is completely the same. Just size difference.
"Are we really having this discussion?" 😄 @DV8 ***You are a judgemental buffoon. I have 40 plus years experience with firearms and probably I have more guns than you do, who pretends to be "the expert." The Canik you describe comes from hate for Turkey and the loyalty for your favorite gun manufacturer, a fanboy. By the way, a Canik TP9 V2 is an old model long replaced by the TP9 DA, a gem of a pistol, indeed, but not even close to the METE SFT. So, yeah, you own one old Canik model and several H&K guns, and you defend H&K with passion because that's all you have, so you believe you have the "best." Unlike you, fixed on H&K only, I own a fairly large selection of different firearms from different manufacturers. You see, unlike you I am not a brand name loyalist fan. I appreciate the many outstanding modern handguns out there. Anyway, irrespective of your own opinion, the Canik METE SFT and the SFX are two phenomenal handguns. I wish we could a target match shootout, you with you H&K and me with my Canik METE. I am plenty of confident to back it up.
@DV8 ***H&K makes great quality handguns. I love the VP9, but prefer the Walther PPQ/PDP. Canik makes great quality handguns, and they are not below H&K, except Canik pistols are not overpriced as H&K are. The METE SFT has nothing to envy to the VP9. You obviously have never handled and fired a Canik METE SFT. Hence, your personal opinion is solely based on your preference for H&K.
@DV8 *** your knowledge about Canik handguns is biased. You have only an old outdated TP9 V2 model and you pass judgment on all the rest Canik models based on that one model. I own mainly, among other gun manufacturers, Walther GmbH, CZ, Glock, and Canik pistols of different models and calibers. Canik handguns are superb modern combat handguns. You stick to H&K, they are fine. With that said, the METE SFT is an outstanding platform par with "big names" equivalent pistols.
