I really like my Rival - I’ve had it for over a year now and have put about 2000 rounds through it without failure. It’s my second/third favorite pistol. In chronological order: - Prodigy 5” - Rival or Custom 1911 (can’t choose which is best) 😂 - Modded Glock 22 chambered in 9mm (yes, it’s a Glock) And so on…
I have the orginal tp9sfx I love it never had a single issue I've thrown on some after market parts like the freedomsmith trigger shoe tf backstraps and such love the gun my favorite pistol I own
I have had my rival for about a year now. I don’t recall what I paid for it. But I see the MSRP for this at about seven bills. As far as I’m concerned, that is a screaming deal for a competition ready Pistol. I shoot 147 Federal subsonics in competition. This is a great gun. Anybody who wants to get started in competitive shooting would be happy with this. And yes, Canik fanboy. This is my fourth Canik. Or maybe my fifth. I can’t remember
i shoot uspsa i have bought 3 rivals 1 plastic and 2 steel i have shot 12,000 rds through this platform the guns are ok the qc is ok the mags suck the most there have been 3 diff. versions the new ones that come with the gun are the best but if you want better get walther pdp mags as long as you dont use the mag funnel the problem is every mag you buy even from canik are not the new mags ,also the recoil springs need changed every 2600 rds or it will not go into battery . good luck , i sold mine and went to walther
I got a Mete MC9 for a CC gun but it was a malfunction monster. They sent me a new recoil spring so hopefully that will help once I get a chance to test it. Normally I'd say "This gun goes back and give me a refund" but the gun is so good otherwise, I want to make it work.
I have one and i have no malfunctions. I believe it was a bad batch. Even my boss has one that didnt slide lock at all until i ran 50 rounds through it. All my other caniks have never gave me issues though. Hope your mc9 can run smoothly soon!🙏🏽💪🏽
I just received my first Canik. SFX Rival. Did not have the chance to shoot it yet. I am surprised how much pay between a frame and a slider. None of my other guns (CZ and Walther) has that much play. Also, I have a hard time to push down a slide release, it is really stiff and sometimes seems stuck. I wonder if there an automaker release level with the larger face.
I have a Rival w a dot, light, Taylor Freelance trigger, mag well and thumb rest. As reliable as my Duty gun (G17). More reliable than my 2011 and just as fast and accurate (OZ for Oz)
I'm considering this as my first firearm for concealed carry. It kind of checks all the boxes. Well, as long as connecticut doesn't deny my constitutional rights yet again. It's been a two year battle. And i'm not a criminal, but anyway. What do you think about this idea? I don't have the money for crazy fancy guns. That's why I was looking at this. It comes with a bunch of stuff. It's a good gun, supposedly. Does anybody have any thought
Probably not the best for a carry gun, sig p365 is a solid choice, especially for a first. I love mine. We can only have 10 rounds here anyway so you’d have to get magblocks for the canik
My rival -s is the most accurate easy shooting pistol I have. So, for those on the fence, the steel framed rival is superior to the TTI combat. In just about all categories except maybe trigger and to be honest it's a negligible difference on any given day
keep reviewing Caniks. The haters that get $$ from Glock constantly tell lies about them not running. They Run. with Better ERgos, sights and the best factory trigger on the market. They are building a Factory in Florida. USA Caniks!!
JOSH! Buddy you may want to move on. Ain't healthy to carry a torch over something that won't happen. Appreciate the comment though, have a good weekend.
