In today’s meeting we go over all the problems I’ve been having with mine. Plus everyone I’ve seen having the same problems. Please check out this video that goes into more detail • Canik TTI Combat Failu...
Hey, I'll give you 300.00 dollars for it?? Mine has been flawless. Love it. It's one of my favorites. The comp does make it shoot with less recoil. Canik has the best triggers on the market. You have to grip a comp gun good to get it to cycle.
Interesting.. I have just over 2000 rounds through mine and havent had a single issue. If it matters, I mostly use Blazer 124gr and have even cycled 500 rounds of 147gr jello-shots through it. Its a lot of fun! I just wish the porting on the barrel and comp were a little bigger/wider. Sorry that Im of no help for your situation. I hope Canik makes it right for you! Good luck!
@@racer5390 do it! do it! do it! 😉 If you're not having any issues with yours, go ahead and enjoy it! If you end up running into a manufacturer's defect type of issue, take advantage of Canik's lifetime warranty. 🤷 As for mine, I didnt do anything out of the ordinary. The day that I picked it up, I brought it home, stripped it down, cleaned out the factory gunk/assembly oil, lubed it up with a little slip 2000 EWL, went to the range the next day and popped off 500 rounds. No problems whatsoever.
I was so hyped to get it. It is a very accurate and equally unreliable gun. The original spring was really bad. I was having rtb issues every other round. I contacted them and they sent me the green spring in less than a week. Now I get one or two of the rtb issues every other mag. It got much better, but considering its price, it is still unreliable. Now I have to look for another reliable gun for home defense. I don't trust it at all. Just an overhyped range toy with issues.
I've had one for just over a month and haven't shot since just a few days after purchase, i saw the same video you linked. It made me hesitant on shooting it and damaging the firing pin. I've contemplated taking it to the local FFL (that also has a gun smith) and have them take it apart document the firing pin then go through the break in and document it again. My thought would be it might be a great documentation of possible issue's. I know i can safely disassemble the gun to that point, I just also don't want to void the warranty if i do that.
I had same problems . Did all the break in stuff. Use different Ammo. Change spring . After 500 rounds it failed every other shot with multiple magazines . I simultaneously used my shadow 2 and s and w equalizer. Not a single malfunction . I am not limp wristing the gun. I had seen the viewing pin video. I contact canik and am sending it in . I asked them if the gun needs replacement , to substitute the Rival - s . They have the gun now I would not recommend the gun based on all the problems many people are reporting .
I don't think voiding your warranty by taking apart is real. It would be the first gun in history to do so. Mine has been flawless in about 2k of different brandsof ammo. I took mine apart an cleaned every thing, firing pin channel included. It was pretty gummy with some kind of grease. It's one hell of a gun! Hope you get it sorted out!
I have not had anny issues with mine but ive been using the low recoil spring. I still think this pistol is over sprung when using basic store bought ammo we all use here in the US. Im getting a spring kit from spinco to replace both the recoil spring and the stiker spring. Over all im happy with this pistol and have not had one issue with it. IMO the issues that guys are having is from the gun being over sprung using low power range ammo. For a 1k price tag you getting one hell of a gun once we get it ironed out. As far as canik sending out a heavy recoil spring is ridiculous. They are going the wrong way on there thinking like i said with the low power ammo guys normally use causing the malfunctions and its adding more recoil. This thing is sprung from the factory to be used with 147 NATO rounds.
This video is spot on bro! Thanks for the info. This video lines up with everything I’ve seen thus far about this gun and issue. Firing pins are getting mangled and CANIK needs to own up to it and fix it and make it right. A higher spring rate recoil spring is only going to exacerbate the issue with the firing pins. And YES, Taking your pin down does indeed VOID your warranty according to the manual. Good luck all. Canik, you’re on notice.
Thank you for checking out the video and leaving a comment, much appreciated! I sent the Canik back and told them to look at the firing pin. I’m interested to see what they say or find. If they do not look at the firing pin then I’m just getting rid of it.
I had the not returning to battery issue. Canik sent me a green spring that fixed my issue. Now that I'm running that green spring, I've not had any issues for 1000+ rounds. Shooting the gun in competitions and everything.
@@GunsaholicAnonymous i mean yeah i put the new spring works fine went through 600 rounds no issues but yeah send it in so they can fix the firing pin dude
Had mine for a month, around 600 rds through it. Between 200-300 reds I had about 10 incidents of return to battery failures. Various brands of. 115 gr. And 124 nato. Canik did send me a heavy recoil spring which I haven’t used bc I didn’t need to. In the 2nd 300 drs I’ve not had one failure of any type.
BIG FYI. Do not admit to canik you have disassembled your gun or it voids your warranty. You need to address the firing pin issues as via what youre hearing all over the internet. And tell them you want to send your gun in for inspection. You are caught in a warranty catch 22 where the part breaking. Youre not allowed to be looking at.
Its like. Sure canik. Intel owes me a new 4k computer in 4 years. But let's try it the intel way. And think you're more lawyerly with a warranty than myself. So sneaky. And clever.
Again. If you try to tell them you pulled your firing pin out and it's got chunks missing from the side. You will be told you weren't supposed to be that far into your gun per your warranty in the manual and they won't do anything but disown the gun on you.
You have to call and be super annoying bc they're going to try to assure you that your striker is fine. Keep referencing the internet and make them service their gun. This is where canik trigger become a glocks. In their customer service dept.
Also don't try to cop and attitude or start yelling. Their basically allowed to start fu$%ing around with you if you do that and you will be given ghost voicemails that never call you back. Not answered bc they have caller ID. Or answered and hung up on. The raptors have control of the park. In other words.
But caniks customer service is the opposite in the industry to their triggers. The worst I've ever experienced. You would think they just paid you a grand to deal with them.
Give it to me. I'll send it to the manufacturer for repair. This isn't that hard. You have an issue and make a video saying yoy don't know what to do about it rather than sending it for repair. Such a waste of viewer time. I hope you get paid off the views.
You must of been dropped on your head when you were a baby. In the video I say I’m not sure what to do because I believe canik will not fix the firing pin. They have only been giving people new springs and doing nothing with the firing pin issue. Which if I keep shooting it, it will eventually destroy itself. I don’t get paid off videos, I make them to Inform people before they spend their hard earned money on junk like I did.
@GunsaholicAnonymous if you're going to insult me, you should at least get the grammar correct. The proper term is "must've" not "must of". Must've is a contraction. It's the combination of the words "must" and "have". My point is that you're worried about Canik not fixing the issue and talking about this being a problem on a video. But you haven't even talked to them. Just because your issue is different doesn't mean they won't repair it. Is there somewhere in their warranty that stipulates firing pins are excluded from repair?
I must say I have waited a long time to get this gun bc auf EU regulations and now after shooting more than 3000 rounds through it I haven’t noticed any difference since I got it it runs flawlessly and reliable. The max I shot through the gun at one day was like 300-400 rounds and even then it dint have any problem . I oiled it up and it was like brand new.
It could be a lot of things but being a idpa master shooter I seen so many times where people blam the gun but techniques are bad examples people riding the slide will make any thing have battery issues I see it all the time with 2011s take the gun shot it one handed strong hand see if you have a issue then go weak hand and see if it has any issues
Had the exact same problems with non primer strikes. I had a friend who’s a competitive shooter. He didn’t have any non-primer strikes, but he did get several light primer strikes. You will void the warranty if you remove the striker assembly.
Yeah I love canik but I'm not buying the TTI. I was at the range today this guy was having mad problems with it. Ftf. Slide would not go back? I put the same rounds in my Smith and Wesson shot with no problem
@@GunsaholicAnonymous I feel you man. Piss you off after you spent your money and it don't work. I'm waiting to get my Cz back is it's not fix in doing the same
The recoil spring you mention is fire ammunition with less recoil. Depending on when you purchased it should already be in the box underneath the first level. If you dont have it call canik and they will send it to you. As far as this video goes you are stating a whole lot of if and or buts and providing completely false information. Nowhere in the manual does it say that it disassembly will or could void your warranty. It only says further takedown is not needed for routine maintenance and cleaning not unlike evrry other striker fired postol on the market. TBH, this video seems to be very uninformed and lacking experience with firearms other than picking one up and shooting it.
Man @marlboroman71818 you have no clue what you’re talking about. The spring Canik is issuing for this issue IS NOT included in the box and the spring you’re talking about is for running sub1k fps ammo for competition loads …. You should really educate yourself before you sound so cock sure in the comments section and potentially lead people astray. Firing pins are getting mangled and you should look into it .. ALSO, it says clear as day that further disassembly of the firearm past field stripping VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY and canik is not responsible if this occurs. Calm down, read your manual, search the internet and put your keyboard down for a bit. It’ll do us all some good 👍
i just started experiencing the issues of slow return to battery and non primer strikes after 200 rounds. i cleaned and lube gun no difference if anything maybe worse. the most concerning thing is the non primer strikes.
My firing pin is allegedly showing damage... I can confirm it has not been removed 😂 after 400 round break in. The bore size on the chamber also has a very tight tolerance. This causes some of the rounds to get jammed into the chamber and not allow the firearm to be fully seated into battery. It is also extremely difficult to rack the slide when this happens. It would be interesting to hear if any other people are having issues with the bore size of the chamber.
There are several channels that have had issues and had good service from Canik. One in particular that I watched said they did get the recoil springs, and weren’t sure if they made other changes, but it ran as expected with the original spring. I’ll likely be purchasing.
