So I wanted to show you how similar the Canik TTI is to the Rival then you can decide which you think is better. Please like, share, and subscribe. Thank you
Well I’ve owned 4 since they came out in 2012 just bought the TTI Combat lastnight. Being a budget spender generally, I am ok with paying the price. The collaboration is a HUGE Milestone for Canik. Canik RUNS🔥🔥 Will be carried and Will never leave my collection.
I have been debating on which one to buy. I am an accuracy and trigger guy and you have made my decision clear, I am pulling the trigger on the Canik SFX Rival w/ Gold accent and adding the Taylor Freelance Brass Backstrap and Brass Magwell and call it done! Thank you so much, you just saved me $400. 😃
I've have the black Canik Rival SFX S steel-frame and it's definitely a superior firearm! 🔥 I purchased it from Classic Firearms for $850, with an additional $30 for shipping and tax, and the FFL fee brought the total to around a grand, but it was absolutely worth every dollar!💰 and to top it off, I've equipped it with the Cyelee Bull Pro X, which is a massive red dot sight! 🎯 can't miss purchase😎 #Canik #RivalSFX #CyeleeBullProX
Facts. I also got one with great anticipation, but wish I had gotten a second SFT Pro, as was my initial plan. I also have a Rival, and find that I shoot it much better than the TTI.
I’ve been telling myself the last month that I bet it’s just like the rival and not worth the 400-600$ extra dollars…and I’m glad you verified my suspicions with this video. It’s basically like a rival but they put a compensator on it… def not worth all that extra money.
I just recently ported my canik rival barrel and bought a back up to run non ported. Just shooting gas through the stock window on the slide. So for $125 its a better gun than the TTI imo.
I will get it to the range soon I hope. It’s supposed to rain for almost 2 weeks here. The reason I compared it to the Rival Dark Side was they both have the same frames except for the stippling and wanted to highlight just how similar the frames were.
@gearrunner I understand, I got what I wanted when I wanted it. Did I pay more than I should've without the optic? Yes, but I have the platform and the optic regardless. Great review though, not trying to dispute your opinion! Be Blessed Brother!
I own both the rival sfx and rival sfs steel. The steel is a very soft shooter, and both are accurate. Thought about this. But I can just buy an extra barrel, have it ported, and I'd be farther ahead using the cash for ammo. There is one of these at a local gunshop. I thought about fondling it. But I might fall into the temptation of buying it.
I basically upgraded but too me the reason why I’m going for the TTI is to carry and with the rival I had I didn’t carry it but it’s pretty much the same
I find the trigger on my rival S and the TTI to be identical. But having a fluted barrel and port is definitely a plus. And if the frames are the same, how come they claim there not interchangeable ?
How so??? Shit looks the same…that’s why it’s fluff they took the SFT and put a comp on it. Brought it to Taran he signed off on it…added some baseplates….LMAO😂😂
Get the chrome steel frame.. i was going to get the Canik tti combat, but i realized its a money grab.. u are basically paying $500 more dollars for a fake compensator and sexual predators name on the side
For those who don’t know the reason behind the TTI/Canik build was for the John Wick 5 movie. It’s more of a movie replica build than a performance build I still think it looks amazing and definitely glad to see the build being done with a Canik. Either way an awesome looking and I’m sure even better functioning gun.
I’m just going to be straight up if that TTI/Canik gun that John Wick carries on chapter 5 I hope it ain’t the last chapter it can’t go out like that if that’s the case, they should’ve saved the pit viper for chapter 5 or the sand viper I…..mean, I’m not down in Canik or anything. I just think it will probably be better off for ballerina or something. else.
I have the black Canik Rival sfx s I agree with you it's a better gun bought it at classic firearms 850 plus 30 shipping tax ffl you at about a grand but well worth the money put the cyelee bull Pro X on it huge red dot
@@joe7282 Just to clarify, I bought the Steel Rival, also at Classic Firearms. I have to pick it up today. Correction paid 957. I have a Cyelee & a Zulisy Oak in green. I like the Oak a little better, though I think they are the same company.
I had the option of the TTInor the Rival-S. I chose the Rival-S for all the reasons you state. I'm also a competition shooter. The Rival-S gives me more control & is a better gun to shoot. I already have the polymer Rival too. Why would I want another Rival, with TTI engraved on it? I don't buy a gun because of the name on it, but for how it handles.
A friend and I both have the TTI Combat. He has a standard Rival and a Rival-S also. I have a Rival-S. We have both concluded that the Rivals are a better value. That's not to say that the TTI Combat is at all bad. It's just that the Rival is that good at a lower price.
Dude. Exact same. I brought mine to the range today. Shot three full mags - the two that came with, plus one 20 rounder from my TP9 SFx. 59 rounds. 7 jams/misfires. Seven! Unprecedented. Ammo was Fiocchi 115 target rounds. Use them around half the time at the range, no issues. Honestly, I'm kinda pissed. This is my fifth Canik, but the first I feel like I got robbed.
@@gearrunner any shortcut advice how to do this so I don’t spend forever fumbling around? Never had this issue before, I’m assuming there’s a spot on their website?
@@chadculotta8278 I’d call them, I just sent back an Sig P365 AXG Legion to Sig and they just send you a prepaid return label. You just box it up and drop it off at like FedEx or UPS
Spot on video. I’ll say for me, the design, comp, Taran stamp, and being able to co witness was reason I went with this one. More so being a key to co witness is a huge deal as if the battery dies or optic fails I need to be able to use irons, that there can be life or death. But your video is super spot on. I’ll say to you want a competition gun, go with the revivals over the TTI. If you want to strictly carry , go with the TTI due to being able to co-witness. If you already have a revival, save your money
The co witness is the biggest difference for me. I hate it when a company attaches the rear sight to the optic plate. Never understood that. I wish they would come out with a TTI about the size of the MC9 for carry.
Taran only made some design changes he didn’t build any of these. Canik built them all. So as far as the quality goes your paying for Canik quality not Taran’s.
@@gearrunner ahh ... Taran said flutted twisted and ported barrel with built in compensator AND a better grip with his name on the slide TO Canik and they did .... So Canik did build it but they built it to Taran's spec .... per Adam Ruonala's comment
Good video thanks. I like heavier full size options like the Shadow 2 or double stack 1911s so holding out for a chrome rival s at MSRP hoping people chase these TTIs and leave the rival s out there now.
Sounds to me it’s like the Harley Davidson trucks. You pay an extra 20/25 grand to advertise for them & have their name plastered all over your truck. 🤷♂️ Can you swap those slides? To put the cowitnessed one on the Rival?
Actually not to hate or anything but the tti is so much different then the rival because Actually the trigger is wider then the rival and the tti has a compensator unlike the rival and the grips have a more aggressive texture then the rival
You say the triggers are identical, then go on to say that the SFX has the better trigger, because the throw is longer in the TTI, but you show in your own video that it isn't. Please do explain. Are they the same? Are they different? Which is better? Do you have a fucking clue about any of this?
Not really. The port is so close to the end of the barrel. That's the only place you get a little extra fouling. Doesn't get anything on the glass of my dot
The rival doesn't have a comp, co witnessing sights, fluted barrel, or the aggressive grip texturing. I have both, I believe that's the only main differences. Oh and TTI also comes with a half way decent optic...Or obviously the Taran collab!
