My understanding is that single tooth guidance is fine when the teeth are healthy and strong. You move to group function models if any of the single teeth are unstable or missing.

@@reardelt Sounds reasonable with support from various papers. However, I understand that people chew in different ways, with some preferring one style of chewing, others preferring another. So it's not a good idea to give everyone group function as a number will still choose to chew in a different way. Also, I'd say I have good single-tooth, canine guidance and don't feel that preventing me from chewing rotationally. Think it deserves further study and discussion with other dentists before settling on any absolute rules.

@@ysyzzang - Correct. As long as it is providing benefit to you the monthly payments will seem trivial. As long as you are using BiteFX, it will be useful to you. If you stop using BiteFX, you tell us and stop paying and, of course, are not able to use BiteFX.
