My niece and her family have a Canis Panther. It is what I would call "buckskin" in color with black highlights. Cropped ears and a docked tail. This animal looks magnificent! Beautiful color and muscular body, yet a certain elegance in the way he carries himself. Yet, this dog is well socialized with other animals and humans. Not only does his "pack" include two adults and three teenagers, but also two pugs, a cat, and a rabbit. He is a big, playful lovebug with his pack and people he knows. His first year of training has been socialization and obedience and he has done well (extremely intelligent and eager to please). Soon, he will begin his training for the "protection" function. This will be done by professionals to make sure he will still remain a sociable and loving dog, yet willing and able to protect when called upon to do so. I look forward to seeing the finished product.
AWESOME! I have researched large and giant breed dogs extensively, and the Canis Panther is one of my favorites! There are too few people that know about the breed. Thank you, so much for doing a video on them. Truth Hurts If you are interested in giant breeds I suggest you to have a look to some rare still unrecognised breeds: the Malakli, the Sarabi dog, the Sage Kuchee and the Pshdar mastiff.They are huge and awesome
I feel the same, i normally prefer older breeds, because most of the new breeds are only made for the appearance and for sales.. But i do like the Canis Panther a lot.
@@Rocadog good research. Dogumentary TV tried to do an episode on a breeder that claimed her male dog was a Canis Panther, but it was only a Doberman-Dogue de Bordeaux mix. That was not cool. She seemed like you describe, in it for the $$. A Canis Panther is not just some Doberman mix. Thank you for showing respect for the work of others and properly representing the Canis Panther.
I love the story behind the promulgation of this noble creature. All Dogs in the in their original nature was created for a purpose. I also look at the people that pioneered this breed. Michael Stratten is an expert extrodinaire in the field of personal protection. Scorpio was the strong arm, and Lopez was the persistence in breed creation.
Vwat I like most about dis wideo is how much better I am at "hearing" your accent than I once was ... or are you just much more practiced at the English pronunciations than you once were? Ither way, my Tex-A-merican ears and mind do not have to strain so hard to understand your words as the first video of yours that I ever heard, wherein your accent was very thick and I did not understand all of the words you said - even though I have heard many European/ Eastern European accents ( as well as many Asian ones for that matter ). I needed more time to sort out the word you were saying, and probably asked you to slow down. Whatever the reason I am very glad that it is all sorted out. I watch many more of your videos, I'm excited to watch all of them now. Thank you for the information and your perspective.

Interesting new dog breed but gosh how I wish people didn't feel it necessary to chop pieces off their dogs - ears & tails are necessary parts of a dogs ability to communicate. Very very rarely, especially these days, do dogs need to have any cropping.
