Canjilon Lakes Campgrounds, New Mexico 

Canjilon Lakes Recreational Area is a group of lakes and two campgrounds located at around 10,000ft elevation in the Carson National Forest of New Mexico. In total, there are 44 sites plus one large, unpaved overflow site (for use only when all other sites are full).
The Lower Campground has 11 sites while the Middle Campground has 33. There is no camping at the Upper Lake.
There have been fishing derbies held here with elbow to elbow crowds, so you may want to call the Canjilon Ranger District (located near the Post Office in Canjilon) at (575) 684-2489 before visiting.
