Hey Peeps, today I'm gonna share a very quick and easy recipe. it's Choley (chickpeas) Masala. The best part about this recipe is, you don't have to soak it overnight, boil or pressure cook it. A can of ready to eat chickpeas for just 75 cents from coles did the magic.

Does the canned chickepeas soften by cooking with the curry? I tried once and the chickpeas were still very hard

Oh yes, I have used chickpeas from Coles, Aldi and Woolworths and they are all ready to eat but I still let them cook for about 8-10 minutes in the gravy. Probably try a different brand of canned chickpeas. Thank you for watching.

If direct pour with water it can become very salty

That's right... If you don't drain the water, it can get slightly salty. In that case you can reduce the salt in the curry. Thanks for watching 👍

I never tried with tamarind..need to try this

You can even skip tomatoes and just use tamarind pulp, and that's another variation. Thank you so much for watching ❤️
