My husband loves meatloaf so much, that he said he would dance for some. Mine always has a tendency to fall apart but I am getting better. I had never heard of canning but sure want to do this. I put tomato sauce in my meat loaf as well as some ketchup. I also add almost every thing in the refrigerator door for flavor, such as A1 sauce, Bar B Que sauce, Heinz 57 Steak Sauce, etc. Lol I have just started adding garlic powder to mine and I like that as well. I just always watched Mama when she made hers but like you, I don't have measurements. It usually always tastes good but sometimes looks bad if it crumbles. Bob loves meatloaf sandwiches for Breakfast. Yeah he's a little strange!🙃 Love you! Congratulations on your success!👏👏👏
Congratulations on the 500 can't wait to see you continue to grow. You make me laugh so much sometimes "Live and learn then die and forget it all" never heard it that way. I was thinking sloppy Joe's as well for the meat that was a little to soft or maybe add to some nachos.
Congrats on 500+ subs!! I have never heard of canning meatloaf!! I would have just played the sloppy joes off as: yea, I meant to do that! I'll bet that in an emergency situation, the sloppy joe ones will be gladly eaten!!
My sister just started pressure canning, it's amazing the things you can can isn't it. Soft or firm it all looks good! I love your sense of humor Beebah!
That would be a great idea! But if you are in a situation where you don’t have the availability of an oven, you can just pop, open the jar and eat it as is or in a sandwich or whatever! My son, and I just ate some of mine that I canned the other day, and it was delicious!🥰
would also be good for a shepherds pie or poor mans stew ! I fry my sliced meatloaf searing it for sandwiches .heating it and maybe add melted cheese .
This was super interesting to me! I think they both turned out great. Either way they are edible for sure. You are such an interesting person. You do not let anything intimidate you. Glad to have found your channel. Keep the videos coming and take care.
@@beebahscountrykitchen8683 Oh my you know I keep you in my prayers always friend. You have been thru so much. Keep us posted on your Dr. visit. Feel better soon.
@@cindycollins2510 I went to the Dr. today and she tested me for Covid, Flu, and Strep throat, which were all negative. I had taken a covid test yesterday, and she said it was to soon to test for it. I have to do another test saturday. She thinks I probably have strep. She said that strep test had a high return for negative testing. My throat is really red and the glands in my neck are very swollen. I know I am really sick. All I want to do is sleep. I have chills and fever and headache. She precribed a z pack so hopefully it will help. Thanks for your prayers!!🥰
@@beebahscountrykitchen8683 Gosh I am so sorry to hear that! You need to slow down, maybe going back to work was to soon? I hope that zpack takes really quickly. Prayers for you! Take care.
@@cindycollins2510 I don't think going back to work had any influence on this. I am pretty sure it is strep and yes the meds are starting to help. I have felt a little better today. Thanks for your prayers!! Hope your Husband is doing well!!
That is a great price on the ground beef. There isn't a Food Lion near me but I did shop there or Safeway when I lived in Virginia. I didn't know meat could be canned. My Momma canned but never meat.
Yes it was a great price on the beef. You can can meat , but you have to use a pressure cooker because meat is very low in acid. If you are canning something like soup that has a high acid content like with tomatoes, and not a lot of meat in it, you can just cook it done, jar up and process in a water bath for 20-30 minutes.
@@beebahscountrykitchen8683 Oh okay thanks. I don't have a pressure cooker, it scares me. My Mom I think just used a big pot and did a water bath for canning her vegetables. Mom and Dad had a garden.
