hello from South Australia! Great to have an aussie homesteader showing us all the canning tips .... I watch a lot of american homesteading utube channels and their accents get soooo annoying! lol On one of your videos about the different types of canning jars, you ordered a few different types (weck, ball, vacola) from the same company. Could you please tell me the company/website name please? Love your content and how you show using every little bit of a fruit ... canning, dehydrating plums used in your worchestershire sauce .... no waste cooking!

Hi in SA, original South Australian myself and still get back to visit family ✨️ There are two main places we use for jars. One is Aussie Mason (I'm actually going to grab some footage picking up jars from their warehouse, asI had a bit of breakage of quarts a couple of weeks ago 😞, so have bought some new ones). I also get jarsonline through Ozfarmer. They are where I get the Weck jars. But for weck seals just do a Google search as they can often be found cheaper by the bag elsewhere. Hope this helps 😀

With our US accents, do you miss the upspeak? We find it really difficult to listen to because, to us, it signifies a question. Each sentence (most) ended in upspeak needs to be reinterpreted. I am not dissing Aussies, this is a genuine question.

Thanks a bunch Sonya. This version of the sauce has quite different ingredients to a traditional version (which actually uses anchovies!) But incredibly tastes really similar and it a great to use the abundance of plums in a different way in season.

G'day Rachel. Cookies look great. Postage is pretty cheap from one Victorian to another you know. 😜 I was a little worried about your steamer lid fitting and nice one on getting all the jars in on one go. One of the kids made Hedgehog today, well yesterday as it's after 1am, so I'm off to grab some after being triggered by the cookies. Take care. Daz.

I’ve been making this sally wise recipe for years and always push the final sauce through a mouli and sieve out the whole spices which makes a lovely thick sauce. I can also attest that it lasts for at least two years in simply capped, sterilised bottles. We’ve made with both plums and apricots but my favourite is plum. I had intended to try for the first time her Worcestershire sauce with lemons this winter but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
