Just one of the many reasons that the 1970s had the best TV shows, and the music as well for that matter. Will never happen again. No other period since the 70s has come close. Declining from the 1980s where there still was quality, to now where it's almost all garbage.

"Wasted?" In what way? Unless I missed something - but I interpreted your comment as a criticism of the two musicians/actors here. Two great musicians in a TV series Kung fu, enjoying themselves. I found the music they played on this episode really lovely, soulful, full of joy and melodic. And their acting really complemented one another. A pity you don't see and hear what I do. Cannonball Adderly's sax is really infectious and goes so well with the guitar playing of Jose Feliciano.
