@@tutan0601 not on a mirrored viewfinder its practical to use the viewfinder if you shooot in all automatic but if you shoot raw amd in all manual you can get better more correct lighting and white balance
@CactusHugger1 White balance doesn't matter if you shoot RAW. Optical view finder is fine and usually works faster also, especially on older camera's due to phase shift detection vs contrast auto focus. I shoot either manual or in any priority mode with auto ISO using the OVF 90% of the time. No issues. Live-view only has the advantage to do ETTR shots and manual focus peaking, but that last feature is typically only for more expensive models or when running Magic Lantern.
@@CactusHugger1 OVF uses phase shift detection Sensor uses contrast detection. Cheaper lower end cameras therefor have 'quick mode' autofocus that then temporarily uses the mirror to focus. (Works in one shot mode only.) More expensive DSLRs have phase shift detection on both modes. So yes, the camera does focus the lens. You really don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
