I just bought the F4 version of this second hand...keep in mind Im coming from a 75-300 Lens and WOW at the difference. What a lens. Love it. Glad I spent the money.
A significant advantage of the 70-200 f4 is a lot less weight. I had the 2.8 version- a great lens but so heavy. The f4 is no less a lens other than half as much light wide open. Only occasionally is this a problem for me.
Yeah its crazy good. Cheap, accurate, sharp, good looking, light, stabilized and everything You want. Especially outside in good light conditions. On a fullrame body excellent. I have on and its mint. Like new.
Today cameras with IBIS the "non IS mk I" is no brainer. For 300 euro as used... Cant beat the price and it as sharp as IS version with bit different coating.
Hi. I just bought this lens to use primarily for trying out "deep sky" and moon astrophotography. You said you use an extender when shooting the moon, which extender to you recommend? Ill be using this lens on a Canon T7i
I was looking for comments about the non is version before I bought it but I can confirm you can get great sharp shoots at 200mm without is.I have a canon eos r with an adapter and no problems at all.even inside an aquarium I was able to get enough light and get great pictures.Bokeh is honestly not too much off the 2.8 version.not to forget it’s extremely light for the great build quality.lastly in my opinion if you shoot video and your body doesn’t have ibis then the is version is necessary at longer distances.Just pictures then the non is is all you’ll need.
Glad I came across your video. I've been trying to find a reason to justify getting the F4 version of this focal length. I do a lot of riding on my motorcycle and weight of my camera bag is a concern. Having my pack as light as possible and I mainly shoot when it's light out so I suppose the 2.8 version is not of big concern for me. As I do not need the weight and the extra stops. Thank you for your honesty on the lows and the highs of this lens and I'm going to be saving up to purchase a used F4 to add to my pack.
Hi i am lumix g85 user, I realy like your video, because I realy looking this lens for my mft body, but how? Is viltrox EF M1 adapter support this lens?🙏
Hi Anson I have thought and the bmpcc4k which I had the olympus 40 to 150mmf2.8 pro.but I have now bee given a canon 5d . So now I want to sell the olympus and get the canon 70 -200 and viltrox sppedbooster so that I can use the lens on all cameras. The thing I cannot sure is should I get the f2.8 or the f4 as I will have a speedbooster as well for the 2 micro 4/3 camera and help would be appreciated. Thanks JF
@@Ansonandco Your very welcome, thank you for subscribing to my channel. Thank you for the kind words for my channel. I use a celestron nexstar se 8 and celestron cgem 11 inch for the close ups with a zwo asi 120 mc astronmy camera.
That shot of the Bumble Bee...wow!!! Jodi was just talking about your moon photo this afternoon...she said it was the best one yet...I can’t believe you got that handheld!?! I’ve been meaning to ask...did you draw your logo? Love it!!
Thanks! I like that photo a lot, i am trying to master the environmental tripod set up. Prepping myself against our fence or my car hahaha i would like to say I’m proud, but really it’s just out of laziness 😂 I did not draw my logo. I WISH i had those kind of skills, but no I got it from creative market and tweaked it to fit my needs. I am glad you dig it, I’ve been debating replacing it since i am doing more freelance work, but i love it so much hahaha
I wanted to drop the money on that one, but at the time i did not know if i was gonna be into the focal length. And honestly now i am hooked on the look the Canon produces. I’d be interested to do a comparison. can’t beat the Sony natives
@@Ansonandco well I would offer you mine to review but I have a feeling the shipping would probably cost as much as the lens. Good work anyways I'll stay tuned.
