I take a look at the Canon AE1 Program and pair it with Ilford XP2 Super 400 film. This is a great first camera for a beginner in Film/Analogue Photography who can learn the ropes using program mode before moving onto manual settings. I was so pleased to be doing some photography in my hometown of Newport, Wales. Ilford XP2 Super 400 is a great film stock, especially for beginners to B&W photography. The detail and contrast it produces are one of a kind, and as it uses the C41 development process, it can be developed at most high street stores. Overall it was great to be shooting with the Canon AE1 Program again, I highly recommend other film photographers or enthusiasts to give it a try.
In this video, we shoot some architecture, street and portrait photography in Newport, Wales. At the end, you can pick your favourite image and let me know which one you like in the comments.
