This is the best intro ever to a movie... cars, girls, funny guys it has it all... all legends... they dont make movies like this no more... i miss the 80s and 90s, what a time for movies and music...
This is an EPIC movie! Been watching it over and over again since I was a kid. The cast just amazing, that lambo is just awesome and this scene (the begining) is just perfection!
This is still one of my favorite movies of all time, and I would still give my left nutt to have an 86-87 coutach. I drooled over those cars for years. Beautiful style.
When I was a kid, this was my favorite car. Because of this movie, and after this I watched every damn movie i stumbled on, with a Lambo in it, but the Countach was my all time favorite.
The only Lambo sound is at 2:17 . The other sounds are from a Ferrari. The lambo has very high gearset due to its 200 plus mph rating and transmission limitations at the time.

Considering the Lambo has a far higher top speed, I don't see them 'ever' catching up LOL (and yeah that drop a gear and pull away- the Lambo could actually do that to a firebird LOL)
can watch this all day...love every moment of this great movie..if you ever feel down, watch this, it is hilarious and just plain fun , even the outakes were great..thanks for this :)

I just saw this like a month ago and I forgot YJackie Chan was in it... Those were great day's when speed meant driving. . And for a lot!!! Double Nickel meant a challenge!!!! Then give me a ticket but only if they can catch me.lol
I saw this in the theater on Fathers Day back in 1981. 40 years this coming June. One of my favorite movies of all time....I know people today do not really appreciate this gem...but it was a classic. Imagine being on this movie crew...ahhh the stories. Greek what are the odds on this Cannonball cockamamie!?
Back in the 70's the Lamborghini did 0-100kmph in 5.9 seconds and had a top speed of 264kmph The Trans Am did 0-100kmph in 6.7 seconds and had a top speed of 198kmph

Fascinating, how the song alone feels like violating speed limits with its subtle staccato. And I bet, a countach would trigger a radar trap even when parking - 70/80ies design and power decadence at its best. But I wonder why they didn't add a DeTomaso Pantera to the franchise.
@@steved2136 Trans Ams are pretty cool and was surprised to see one as a police car. Trans Ams have been fast over the years and are a great American Icon. If nothing else they look cool. Why you hatin?
The all star cast in these movies were amazing, you just can't do this now, it would be youtubers and reality stars with PC writers. Shoutout and RIP to fellow Memphian Hal Needham for creating these movies, from stuntman to legendary film director.

I saw this movie when I was a 12. I'd never loved a woman. Too young for that. But I sure as hell fell in love with this car. The lamborghini countach - my first love.
39 years and 35 years old. The concept came out in 1971 and the production car came out in 1974. My 2nd favourite car off all time after the Ferrari F40.
Love this movie got it for Christmas a couple years ago. I think my sister got it at walmart. I love watching on my 42" vizio full hd tv. turn on surround sound and sit back and enjoy.
