This is why I chose the Canon 80D over the 5D mark II. The flip screen and autofocus was worth it and the next camera I'll step up to will be the C100 Mark II or the C200.

I think it would be proper if you all did a video explaining the benefits (if there is any) with turning on dual pixel autofocus for photographic purposes; more specifically with the EOS-R. Is the sacrifice for essentially 2-3 fps worth the utility of dpaf? I play around with both quite frequently but cannot tell majority of the time. Any thoughts or information on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Solid video btw; well done

Hey can anoyone help me. I do beauty blogs and I am having trouble with the AF. I am used to using my cellphone. A Samsung s7 Edge. When filming with a cellphone, the AF focuses right away with the products that I am showing to the camera, then when I remove the product from the screen, it focuses on me automatically. I am new to DSLRs. When I show the product to my Canon t7i, it does not focus until I half press the button. So I have to do it. When I remove the product, it detects but does not focus on my face until I press the button again. Is this normal or am I just used to using a cellphone? I want to bring it back maybe it's a defect?

Please tell me this dual pixel auto focus for photography also???

The only con of dual pixel af is the lack of pro quality stm lenses when using onboard audio. L lenses are not silent.

Canon has a dual pixel autofocus camera that shoots 4k RAW...and the HATERS will STILL COMPLAIN.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is Dual Pixel.

So it basically works in a similar way to Lytro technology

Now samsung uses the same tech in s21 ultra and xiomi in mi 11 ultra

19 Sony camera users dislike. Because they overpaid thinking sony is the best. lol

Some nice things Canon, but Sony a9 can do it better, just without DPAF.
