I like this combo size. At 55mm you can use it indoors and not have to be 10 ft away from the subject and it also has a fair amount of zoom. My 75-300mm doesnt work so well indoors so I have to take a second lens everywhere I go. I like this one
Not going to pad it; all I heard was blah blah I can afford a great body. Reality is the 55-250 stm specific punches way above its weight class. It laps either 300 with ease and depending on your shooting preference, can actually outlast the new 50. Especially for new nature shooters. More words don’t always equal better info.
Great video, I recently got into digital photography and purchased a Canon bundle from Amazon which included the reviewed lens along with a couple of other lens and the 90D camera. Looking forward to using the lens after viewing your review.
I have this lens and I can personally vouch for it, great value! I have heard that it can work with the new R cameras with the adapter it's just that it will automatically crop, is this true can anyone confirm this?
Hey I have this lens and i am trying to record myself but it’s a blurr I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I just want to record some videos but I can’t even see a thing even if I wanted to take a photo it’s not showing anything just blurry. Thank you
Hi i am a beginner with canon 1200 dslr , 55-250 mm , is it necessary to buy 70-300 mm for tele photography , birds one N long distance work Guide me pl ?

Please let me know what to do. thank you!
@@Imhungryineedfood yeah you’re right I realized there was a micro lens attached to it, after looking at many videos of the same camera I notice mines was different hence the doggone micro lens attached to it. Thank you for your response though!
Agree.. always found the term "beginner" very strange. A lens is a lens. There's nothing really that distinguishes whether one is beginner "friendly" or not..
New to photography here... I have this lens. I also have an adapter so it fits on my Canon M50. It works when attached. Is this going to distort images?
i have the canon 80d and i want some good lens for that camera i was told to get the 24-70 and the 16-35 but they're for full frame cameras but i have a crop sensor but they seem to take great pictures i want to get better but i'll buy lenses that will work with my 80d i don't want to be buying the wrong camera lenses. i only want a few lenses. i have 2 full frame lenses and no crop sensor lens but i'm trying to see what happens. i do this as a hobby So i'm not rich like that i paid 500 for the 80d camera body with no lenses and then i bought the 16-35 and the 50mm i took some nice pictures but i want to take sharp pictures everytime that's why i'm learning all of the camera modes to see which one i'm going to like. so can you tell me about the 17-55mm 24mm 10-18mm 55-250mm and the 18-135mm which one do i need to buy for the 80d
Stepper motor. STM lenses are faster and quieter when Auto Focussing and STM lenses also like USM (ultrasonic motor) lenses allow Manual focussing anytime (as long as shutter is half pressed) without needing to switch AF/MF switch on lens to MF. Don't buy a lens without STM or USM label - they are too old.
Yes, If the wildlife is not too far away and there is enough light and depends on camera too. Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM works better with newer APSC cameras with more focussing points and better sensor sensitivity (higher ISO range available). (e.g. Auto Focussing always works well with my 19 focus points T6S (760D) but sometimes need manual focussing at 250mm when used with my 9 focussing points T2i (550D)).
