In this video, I will unbox and review the camera compared to my current camera which is the Canon G7x Mark II. I also had purchased a Rode Mic and will show you how the audio sounds with and without the mic attached!

YESSS the quality is amazing! & right! the g7x will continue to be my vlogging camera. I dont see myself walking around with the big heavy m50 outside LOL

I loved this review and video, I recently purchased the G7x mark ll as I'm new to filming altogether. While I've had the camera a week or so I've played around a filmed a mini video just to see how it worked and looked. After doing so I realized I was struggling when it came to being able to see my footage on my laptop and I didn't like the fact that I couldn't attach a mic. So after seeing this , I'm definitely returning the G7x Mark ll and getting the M50 . Thank you , as you helped with that decision.

I’ve had the m50 for little over a year now! The quality is great and you do have to adjust the low light settings when it’s dark. I mostly use manual mode (auto when I’m outside) and have adjusted the audio settings as well. One drawback I have to say is it automatically stops recording once it hits the 30 min mark. Also Really durable because I dropped it once 😅 still works perfect

What's your video export settings (bitrate), especially this one? , and also do you export it as full HD or 4K?

Greetings! First time viewer. Nice nice job on the video. You definitely received a new camera. I watched you struggle with getting it open. This is something I always pay attention to with a new camera, or any product. If the packaging opens easily, it most likely has been opened and returned. If you were on automatic, it may account for the ‘orange’ you are seeing? I actually liked the way you looked on the M50, vs the G7x. You will have to go into the Menu settings, and select the picture profile you want. Canon does a great job with their touch screens. DPAF is where it’s at, with the focusing. This is more of a hybrid camera, but I still wish Canon had given it just a bit better video abilities. You are a sharp young lady, and I wish you well going forward. Big like and Sub! 👍😁✌🏻🇺🇸📷

Thank you! That is actually smart, I never thought about it if it opens easily then it most likely has been opened. & also, as I've learned more about the M50 and changed up the settings, I really like the lighting and it isnt as orangey anymore! One thing I have noticed is that it does great on focusing the light on me when filming, but it is extremely dark in the background so that is something I am still trying to figure out.

@@cassiefriedrich You’re Welcome, and Thank You for the reply! The meters in modern digital cameras have improved quite a bit, but they still cannot quite ‘see’ like our human vision can. So if you expose for your gorgeous face, ☺️ the back ground might end up being dark, and vice versa. They have those light panels that attach to the camera, but then that negates the use of an external microphone. Some Creators use cages, but it seems to make the whole setup bulky? I still kinda scratch my head at why digital cameras are used for video, when a proper video camera would do better? I’m not a videographer. I do stills. I would say to follow some of the more well known RU-vidrs, and pick up some tips? Looking forward to upcoming videos from you. Stay safe and Healthy! 👏🏻👍👍👍😁✌🏻📷

do you think its too big vlogging around with this? cause i really love the camera and the quality but im afraid that when vlogging in school for example it might be overwhelming cause idk what it actually looks like in hand

If you want something smaller I would recommend the Sony ZV1 or Canon G7x. I personally feel like a smaller camera to vlog out in public with is easier to manage.

Yeah I realized once I uploaded the footage it didn’t look as yellow but from the viewfinder I looked really yellow so I’m still working on tweaking settings so that it is clear what I look like on camera lol don’t wanna look like a whole orange on camera 😂
