I'm sure that's not his first rodeo. DIY what can go wrong? I'm sure there will be a missing part, component won't fit back together or some spring thingy fly off to never never land. Steep learning curve, first you need a huge long phillips screwdriver then perfect the Asian squat. That was a miracle, good job!

Never having taken one apart and not knowing how much toner it takes to fill a cartridge, it seems like there was plenty of toner left. Did you take apart a functional cartridge to make an instructional video? Just curious.

Seems like a lot, lot of extra work dissassembling the cartridge compared to using the $7 "soldering iron"-like tool that burns a circular hole in the cartridge. Is there some reason the electric hole-making tool wouldn't work on that cartridge? Mine is a Canon 045 cartridge, from MF634cdw.

you didn't have to take it apart that much you just had to refill the cartridge and reset the gears. You did way more than you should have. I refill my brother all the time and you don't know what you are doing.
