It did not work for me for the longest time. I tried like over 20 times. I left the printer came back to it tried it again it worked! I did the same thing that I was doing the first time. So stupid. very frustrating trying to do this combination.

Hello! Most likely there is a sliver of paper caught in the back of the printer where the fuser is located. Open the back and with a flashlight see if there is a piece of paper stuck or sticking out.

Hello! Try this: Tap 'Menu', 'Management Settings', 'Initialize all date settings', tap 'Yes'. It then should reset and ask for you to enter language and current date.

Hello! It's odd that the hard reset doesn't work on the 644cdw since they are basically the same printer. My only suggestion would be to unplug the printer, wait 5 minutes and plug it back in and try the steps again.

Hello! Sorry for the delayed response. Make sure you are applying firm pressure when tapping the screen and volume button. What mode number is your printer?

It is a horrible piece! The printer is great, but the controls are abysmal. I got the service advising me to press home, then press volume on the side of the control panel, then 5 times the stop button in quick succession, and then volume again on the side of the panel. A menu should come up and you need to enter 43810 code. That should bring you to the service menu. My stop button did nothing in this sequence and after repeating the sequence about 100 times, I gave up and ordered a new printer. I did apply a firm pressure and changed the speed of sequence- but no luck. When I go for the copy or print function and press the stop button in the middle of the copy - it stops the process, but in this case of waking controls, it just does not react. my printer is MF733cdw

Hello! I'm sorry you're having issues with the hard reset. Make sure when tapping the touchscreen you are applying firm pressure. What model number is your printer?

This printer does not have a print head. Only inkjet printers have print heads that can be cleaned. Are you having quality issues?

Hello! Replacing the LCD screen would cost more in parts and labor than the printer itself. If it still prints well you can keep it as a 'print only' printer.

@@pippispins33 Unfortunately without the touch screen you wouldn't be able to have wireless functions. You can only hardwire it with a USB cord.

Hello! This could be caused by a handful of things. Most likely you are out of magenta toner. Did you download the correct drivers from the Canon website? Are you making sure you click 'color' when printing?

I have plenty of Magenta toner, 40%. Yes, the correct drivers are downloaded for this particular printer. Yes, the print setting are set to color. I have performed all of the maintenance task on it. I have hard reset the printer as per your instructional video, which I thought was very clear. Thanks for no background music. I only use Canon toner. Never have used anything else. It has always been kept in a clean environment.

@@waynebell3452 The only thing I can think of is the magenta toner has failed. Do you have a backup you can try?

Hello! Sometimes the process has to be repeated before it takes. Unplug the printer, wait 1 min, plug it back in and try again.

The power outage could have fried the cord. Try getting a new power cord and plug it directly into the wall socket.

same. It has sucked since the beginning. cannot print remotely, always disconnecting, wont show my wifi just issues nonstop

I did the process but w nothing comes up after pressing the red inverted triangle. I'm just stuck with the volume settings 😢
