In this video I unbox the new Canon's new MegaTank photo printer. It is the first super tank photo printer available in the United States. Thank you very much for watching, and have a great rest of your day!

Thank you for this video! Do you know the maximum thickness of paper this printer can receive? How many 8.5x11 could be loaded at a time? These two specs are not listed. Thank you in advance

Thank you wish you had shown us the photo so we could see the quality. Also is there a place to insert a Canon Camera photo card into this printer? Thank you

I have the 620. It prints photos like a pro similar to the 8320 and never runs out of ink. It has the 6 inks the 4 ink models dont print as good

Great video, I was able to set mine up using your instructions, although I wish you have gone a step further and done the wireless and smartphone. As far as Epson, the printheads on those printers are garbage and clog VERY quickly. I got only 1.5 years off an expensive p400, 2 years on a 1430 and a little over a year on an R800. The heads are famous for clogging even using OEM ink and printing frequently. Epson is off my list now, I will never buy another. I hope the Canon will do better. I know at least you can purchase replacement heads and I got the 4 year waranty as well.

Great to see such an early review of this product. It seems like all these photo-quality ink-tank printers are new (to the US, at least). HP, Epson, and Canon seem to have one. The Canon intrigued me because of the 6-ink system with red and grey. That being said, you mentioned around @12:23 that the quality of the printer is not what you'd expect for $300. Do you mean that the build quality and use of a thermal print head is disappointing? Or do you believe that the print quality is lacking?

The build quality, and choice of printheads is below what I would expect from a $300 printer. I actually ended up returning the printer for a refund mostly because of how slow the printer was. Sometimes it would take over 2 min for one photo. The printhead is the cause for the low speed. The quality was great however.

Thanks for doing this video review. I was going to purchase it until you mentioned in the comments that you returned it due to the slow speed of printing photos. Also your comments about the print heads not lasting concerned me.

Has anyone tried a panorama? Canon says it will do up to 47 inches. Where did you get paper?
@evandrinks
@evandrinks 3 года назад
I did not try that. I have not seen any paper in sheet form that is 8.5 inches wide and over 2 feet long. You could try buying roll paper, and then cutting it to size.

An Update: Due to the very slow print speed, and poor build quality of this printer, I ended up returning it for a refund. The printer would sometimes take over 2 minutes to print a single 4x6 photo. Continuous printing for long periods of time, due to the thermal printheads could cause damage to the printheads, which are not sold in retail stores and must be acquired from Canon support. This is one of the first times that I have ever returned a printer after an unboxing video.

hi hope you are having an amazing day, i have a question, i am wondering how many prints on A4 paper does it take before the print heads become too hot and might damage the internal components, my father wanted a good quality printer for light tasks and he usually only prints 7 to 10 A4 paperd per day and i dont know if thats too much for the printer
