Canon Pixma TS3150/TS3151: How to Replace/Change Ink Cartridges

In this short video I show you the ink cartridge replacement process for the Canon Pixma TS3150 or TS3151. This printer uses black and tricolour ink cartridges which come under the codes PG-545 and CL-546. This series of Canon ink cartridges can be replaced from the printer directly and there is no need to use your PC/laptop computer.
Although we have used the TS3150 in this video, the process remains the same for other TS3100 series printers, like the TS3151.

i did already know this - BUT when i open the door to the cartridges they remain tucked into the housing on the left. how do i get them to appear?

You should turn on the printer so it shows the 0 on the display, like at the end of the video.

I have something weird to report - I had a color cartridge that still had ink and the black had run out of ink. So I got a new 2 pack with Color and Black ink. Installed only the Black ink while keeping my old Color ink cartridge in the Canon PIXMA TS3300 printer. The printer threw a E15 error. Cleaning the cartridge and its enclosure didn't help but the moment I installed the new Color ink cartridge, the error magically disappeared and the printer started to work again! Very cheeky Canon! :-X

my cartridges dont go in the middle when you open the draw they are at the side what should I do?

Turn off and unplug for 10 seconds. I had same issue and thats what worked for me.

And it must be noted, don't touch the chip on the outside, if you get your finger oil salts and sweats on it your printer may not respond as well, if you do accidentally touch it, wipe it off with a dust free dry cloth

What if the ink cartridge holders don't move so you can change the ink? They're on the left side of the printer and won't move to the center so I can see them?

Help please! The cartridges don't stop in the middle for accessing. They go back to their original position. Is there a fault with my printer? I've unplugged it and re-plugged it in and that made no difference.

I replaced a cartridge the other day. Was printing perfectly and the next day when I turned the printer back on, it gave a E15 error message. I've cleaned out the flim with alcohol until it was clean. But still I recieve the same error. How do I solve this matter?

I was printing some docs.. Then I need to change ink.. I open the front the printer but the cartridge did not show up.. What to do then? I still stuff to print for this don't want to cancel my listing 😵
