I just made some very important changes to my settings. Thank you! I like how you made a customized button to switch from AF to MF after locking on a subject. I know how to set that button to "AF off" but will the camera stay "locked" on the point I tell it to after turning AF off or is that an additional setting? Also I have the same lens you have here 24-105 f4. Do you find that to be a good lens to shoot video?
Hey Jenna! You’re welcome! Great question, I use it to turn AF off and on but I don’t really use the tracking feature that much to be honest, that’s something i’ll have to test out! And yes the RF 24-105 F4L is a great lens for video, I find it autofocus fast, it’s really sharp and that stabilization helps to get smooth shots handheld past 35mm cause you get wobbles cause of ibis below that.
Love the video. Could you make a video on how to expose your log in low light ? Shooting log in low light has been a major downfall for me. My footages are full of noise and the colors are all messed up when I try to color grade it.
Good idea, I made a video on how to expose with Clog3 already on my channel, you can check it out but I didn’t cover the low light part, maybe I can make another video on that also! Stay tuned :)
This is such a great video. I just reviewed it and made some important changes to my RGii. But I have a question: How can I record video to BOTH CARDS? Not simultaneously but first Card 1 and then Card 2? Is that possible?
Thanks man ! Oh if you want to do that, then put the movie 🎥 rec options icon on Auto switch card. [Auto switch card] is the same as [Standard], but additionally, the camera switches to the other card when one card becomes full.
Hey! It depends which microphone you use, some microphone are more noisy than other, but a general rule is if you can, turn up the microphone volume gain and lower the one in camera
Hi, on my R7 the composition window, bubble level etc. disappears when I press record. Also there is no red frame. This is all very backward and sad as the footage itself looks very good. Is this also the case with the R6 II?
Yeah Canon does that to their cameras, I don’t know why, but on the R6 II the red frame stays when you press record just like I demonstrate in this video!
That’s cause you’re in PAL movie recording system, you want to move to NTSC system if you want 23.98 fps or 59.94fps. PAL system is used in Europe, Russia, China, Australia, etc.. while NTSC system is used in America, Japan, North Korea, etc… I think you can change that in the yellow menu page 2 under video system!
