Fantastic video, wow! I learned so much! For my suggestion, I would love to see a video about shooting live bands in low light settings (like in your typical club or pub), with lots of motion, with the ability to focus while shooting, all while using a smartphone via wifi. Thank you!
Hello there! Great tutorial. I have an issue that perhaps you’ve come across from using this camera. I am trying to use the live view via HDMI to use my Canon T6 for live stream. However, I cannot get the AF box to not show when it detects a face, or on the other modes, which is problematic since it shows on the stream. I tried searching the menus and hitting the display button a couple of times but nothing. Any tips? All is welcome. Thank you!

Paul, why is it that when atttempting macro, with a well-lit subject, when I switch from viewfinder to live view, I see no subject in the LCD, just totally black, with the white rectangle (using a Canon T3) in manual mode/manual focusing?

Wow I loved that bonus tip how you can move the focus point I didn’t even think that was possible you’re great also could you do a video on using a macro ring flash light with a review on it as Iknow lots of us want to buy one as they look cool thank you also if I was to be recording a video on my canon would I be able to see the live view video through my smartphone as my camera is recording?
Glad you are enjoying the videos. I’m planning a macro video sometime soon. Re video using the app, this may depend on what camera / apps combination you are using but I see no reason why not.
I’m trying to use the live mode to shoot some pictures, however it does not allow me to take pictures with the live mode on. I’m not sure if I missed something.
you mentioned you can change the focal point, but once you do that, will it also take a clear photo of the background? I used to hit the focus botton slightly, I'd move the center point over a bit to hit something in the distance and hit the botton again. Both are now in focus.
Placing the focus point on your subject will make the subject sharp and in focus, background (and foreground) focus is however down to depth of field - watch my depth of field video for more info.
The D3400 has a maximum recording length based on how large the file is. It will record a file up to 4GB and then stop, so a high resolution video will be a larger file and will be approx 10 minutes long. But by lowering the resolution you can record up to 30 minutes. This is explained in more detail in the Nikon D3400 Manual on page 40. Thanks for watching.
im trying to take fast shots . like moving cars . my camera is a canon 70d . if i put my ISO UP OVER 800 MY picture is very grainie . can you help me please
Are you trying to freeze the action? The reason I ask is because this can make the subject appear like it is not moving. So often motor sports photographers sometimes use a technique called panning (sharp subject but blurry background) and go for a slower shutter speed and therefore a lower ISO. If you are intent on sharpness then maybe your shutter is too fast for the available light. Paul @ Photo Genius.
yes im trying to freeze the picture . i am a beginner and was told to set my ISO high and my shutter at 1200 . the back ground was sharp but the bird i took was very grainy . do you do a video in settings for fast photography . thank you

I do not believe there is an option to save video via the app. I would recommend buying a compatible SD card reader that you can connect to your phone. Of course I don't know what phone you have but this one suits the iPhone / iPad : amzn.to/2D64TCe Thanks for watching.

Canon DSLR needs to allow for its on wifi plan, or partner with a phone company to use their wifi towers and allow for the camera to connect to social media apps so we can go live on the go. Id gladly pay $1000.00
