I do not take credit for this music This is the backing track for the song canon rock by JerryC. You can download this at.. www.guitarbackingtrack.com/pla...
Man, I saw the JerryC video back when I was a kid just trying to learn the basics of guitar. Back then I never thought I could play like that, but over a decade of practice later and I just ripped on this like a mother. Never stop practicing, you CAN do it!
Watching the video of Jerry C playing this was so impressive to me when I was first learning to play. I think this piece was a huge inspiration for the type of music I wanted to play when getting into the guitar world.
Took me a couple of tries to find this one. I knew it was the one I was searching when i saw the date on it. Good memories. Just one of those songs you remember out of nowhere. Haven't hear it in years now.
im so glad right now! i was just learning the song and i came to the part with the sweeping and i was just thinking yay time for hours and hours of grueling pain just learning that arpeggio but it turns out when i started learning sweep picking i learned that 5 string arpeggio that happens in the song and its the only arpeggio that i know how to sweep on so i could instantly do it no problem!!
this is such a fun song to play once you get it down. i dont know how some of you people think it'll take a year haha. it took me about 2 weeks. just work on it piece by piece. break it down into sections by how the sound and learn each one and get good at it. as you learn more sections, string them together so you are playing from the beginning to where you know. PS it really helps to practice sweeps with a metronome
In Indonesia, funtwo who started the chain reaction.. there is no school band that not trying to perform his guitar solo style.. not even bother to show his face and cover title just "guitar", make it wayyy cooler back then.. go to internet café after school (2009) just to pay respect to that guy and his masterpiece...
Wow its really fun to play along :D Its just really hard in the start if you dont already have those hard fingertips xD well i can actually feel that my fingertips have gone harder after playing this song for like 2 days xD
Finally learned this song and Played at talent show (and first song i learned on guitar), all I have to say is learn the arpeggios last and not in order, learn the most basic / easy parts then learn the harder then harder then finally the arpeggios, its not as hard as you think and the arpeggios are a bitch at first but while your practicing them you will get better at a extreamly fast rate, what im trying to say is is that if you do not give up you will be surprised you learned it and quickly
I found the tuning for the Rhythm guitar one and rhythm guitar two. Rhythm guitar 1 (Distortion) = Drop D Rhythm Guitar 2 (Clean/Overdrive) = E standard This would helps for the rhythm guitarists!
@KelvongKlein ahh i see well yeah, backing tracks are like stuff people make or transcibe or whatever for electric guitarists to play lead or improvise or make up their lead parts and stuff ^^
Is there anywhere you can download this backing track from? I want to do my own version of it, same as Jerry C... but on BASS! :O. Any help as to how to get this track would be much appreciated, thanks.
I can play the main riff, those two solos after it, but I can't play the melody part fast enough. How do you get faster at playing guitar? I practice all the time!
I was trying to play it but I couldn't !So I tryhard for 3-4 hours !Then I realised I had it turned on x1.5 !How stupid I am ! It's no THAT hard after all! Great backingtrack, thanks for uploading!
No, its a backing track - now search for simply 'Canon' and watch the 13-15 year old genii (I've been playing 25 years and have a degree in music so don't use that term lightly) who play the melody line over the top - enjoy, really quite amazing! :o)
