It's called fast fret and it's your best friend if you want your strings to stay clean and last forever. It's basically white mineral oil. It cleans the strings of your skin cells and dust and protects them as well. It's also good for the fingerboard AND if you put it on right before you play, your fingers just glide over the strings. Lovely stuff. :)

Its like saying "Do you want to be able to recreate/use someone else's epic amplifier when you can build it on Your own." Some people are better in some things (music -> write songs or rewrite tabs) and other just like to play them. Another person might be supreme in electronics so he builds amps and custom effects, while other people just use them.

Wonderful bass work, that music is for me a really hard piece to learn. but i will eventually learn it. I use a 5 string and think about if it would be better to go two octaves down where the bass have a hard time to play the more squealing guitar parts.

You play bass as a lead guitar, and all the bass players (I'm beginner) knows the hardness of the strings and the distance between the "frette" (in french, I don't know the real word in english). Sorry for my poor english, I'm french ;) Good job !
